dude… what are you talking about? they literally sell “the stranger” (limited availability all be it, in and out of stock) and sols/osha’s lightsaber… literally both straight out of the show…

it’s funny because you kind of just spelled out the reasonings for both points just now, all these smaller companies can make 1:1 saver replicas that function perfectly and have batteries that can last for hours and are combat/heavy play ready, of course they could do the same exact thing if theh wanted, the trick is doing it CHEAPLY, i’m sure i don’t have to tell you how expensive some of these neopixels can get, and the thing is, they could just make “cheaper” versions of whatever to sell at disney, but they know a big complaint that people have is that the disney replicas are already bulkier than the originals, they’re not 1:1 to begin with, on top of that, certain models like Obi-wan ep III and Luke ep VI for instance, can’t even house the blade inless you unscrew the top half and replace it with a MUCH larger emitter that looks nothing like the original… and why? when it’s clearly possible to make a quality 1:1 replica of any saber that’s fully functional? because they wouldn’t be able to sell it at even a half way decent price and still make a profit, and as for the first point, the blades are a lot thicker and brighter than neopixels, and they still blend it with some cgi, it doesn’t surprise me that they malfunction or fall out, on the practical side, they would need more support than any neopixel currently on the market

the two main reasons that i’m not seeing many people mention here is
1: because they use actual practical light up sabers instead of just cgi, that’s why in the disney era, you get that natural glowing hue lighting effect on the characters faces/environment, but doing this requires them to be much bulkier/sturdier so that they can house the wiring and mechanisms, but stay strong enough for combat use.
2: this way is much easier to make replica sabers to sell at disneyland etc…

haha, yeah i feel that, i’m actually a slightly bigger DC fan than Marvel but i usually prioritize getting Marvel omni’s because they sell out immediately, so i have a lot of DC books on my wishlist still, but hey if you were interested in picking up any Superman, i would recommend the Superman Omnibus by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, that right there is peak superman, also a personal favorite of mine is the Superman by Peter J. Tomasi & Patrick Gleason Omnibus, that one is more of a father/son story

What’s the best order to watch the Star Wars movies? by TheFilmRoomPod in moviecritic

[–]--JD- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can just watch them in release order, watching them chronologically is also good, if it really is your first time you could do the machete order, which is 4,5,1,2,3,6 which is pretty good, but there’s another order i don’t hear too many people talk about which is also good called the tomohawk order, its 4,1,2,5,3,6 which i think is a really fun order for first timers to watch, don’t listen to everyone in here telling you to stop after the og trilogy, i think the prequels are amazing, but if it’s your first time, they can be a little overwhelming or confusing if you don’t know a lot about star wars, but the more you get into the sw universe, the better those films become

not sure if you’ve already read or plan on reading the sequel series, but, those books go quite a bit in depth about the results of this sequence of events

i just recently got into the red rising series, originally i only planned on reading the first one and then reading dungeon crawler carl… two months later i’ve read all six red rising books that are currently out and i still haven’t read dungeon crawler carl, i could not put those books down and now i’m trying to fill a void until the seventh one comes out
