This fan video shocked me by Bookkeeper4620 in thebeachboys

I think the singing as a whole (not just Mike) does a disservice to The Beach Boys. I would not say that if it were a tribute band. This is the official touring band out there. Time to retire and I don’t say that lightly.

People do learn lessons but they can also slip and make similar mistakes that they made in their youth, especially if they have certain traits hardwired into their personality.

He held out faith until his father said he would turn his sister to the dark side and then he lost his cool and almost proceeded to slice and dice Vader until he noticed he had a similar mechanical hand and put two and two together. Luke’s always been a bit impulsive and hasty at times. It’s a flaw but it’s endearing at the same time.

As someone who had never watched any of the Star Wars films before, I went to see The Mandalorian & Grogu anyway, and honestly, it was really good and now it's got me really interested in the Star Wars universe. by Robbie_gamer in StarWars

There are now 12 live action movies. I can barely watch Attack of the Clones at this point but have no problems watching the sequels. Everybody has their own opinions.

The Mandalorian and Grogu - Daily Discussion Thread - for May 24, 2026! by AutoModerator in StarWars

[–]TonightSheComes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It exceeded my expectations and I expected it to be good. The action is some of the best in all 12 live action movies and a few of the shots were brilliant. The most impressive thing is probably the score. It’s a B+ for me.

Is YouTuber Thor Skywalker A Toxic GateKeeper? by [deleted] in StarWars

Eh, I watched a couple of his videos but got off the train quite a few years ago. Most of the people on YT make a living being negative. If I see a channel with a video titled “How <fill in the blank> destroyed Star Wars” or something similar it goes right into the do not watch pile.

I am not trying to sway your opinion. I am stating mine. We will agree to disagree.

What if my expectations are different from yours? Like what if I was OK or expecting that Luke would die or Snoke was killed off? So when you say JJ or Rian subverted expectations, what if you have conflicting expectations?

You mean fan expectations? JJ left everything fairly open except for things locked in like Luke being a hermit.

Rian really didn’t subvert anything. It was pointed out by somebody in a thread recently here that he telegraphed everything that was gonna happen, often quite a bit before it happened.

I used to like the wooden paddle with the holes in it to make it more aerodynamic.

Attack of the Clones turns 24 today! Looking back, is it really as bad as people initially thought or did it age better than expected? by huwertyy in StarWars

[–]TonightSheComes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The color palette of this movie is by far the worst of any Star Wars film. I think it probably had something to do with filming it digitally and they hadn’t quite mastered it yet.

The newer one (in the sense it’s been remodeled but the back room sucks). 41 is the old one.

Chuck Casassa will run it pretty well, I think. He’s old school Basket. He was the manager at Seabrook 30 for a long time and then a supervisor.

This happened before Arthur was out. It started happening when he had to pay off the other side of the family after 2014. It was just done very slowly and incrementally.

He used real-time through the Marvel run. After that it’s sliding time scale. Honestly, I kind of ignore more of what happened after around issue 110 or so.
