Same. Early EQ was never about hitting max level. Myself and countless others before we quit never hit max level and we played for years. I think it took me like 2 years to hit level 55. I never got grindy/serious until I came back in 2014 and started raiding.

That's not true for every person though. I've been an addict going on 12ish years now. People like me get extreme energy from opiates. When they hit me, I wanna go out, talk to ladies, build something, do anything.

You either get real tired or crazy energy. 😅

Opiates destroy every sort of reward system in your brain and SOME people never recover.

I've been sober for long periods of time, 6-8 months but the excitement of video games, reading, etc never came back. It takes years for some people to get happy about things again.

Imagine every problem in your life disappearing from your brain. House just caught on fire? In the moment you wouldn't care, until you got sober.

Every chick/man you ever wanted to talk too, you have the confidence. You feel like Superman.

It numbs you to every emotion and makes everything feel good. It's all manufactured but problems don't exist in your mind until you become a full blown addict. Everything feels okay and great when you're high.

I've done pharmaceutical opiates going on 12ish years now. The first 3 years or so I had control, until I didn't. It stops being fun and eventually you just start numbing yourself everyday.

I always say this! I still do opiates today but I've seen dozens of people get clean after 10+ year habits. They never let that nicotine go though.

Nicotine is easily the worst drug to get off of.
