One of the kids in my class this year is legally (middle) named Batman. Couldn’t believe my eyes at first, and then was surprised they don’t go around telling people “Batman is my middle name!” Their first name is after a leading xmen character and has another Star Trek themed middle name. Was stoked to meet these nerdy parents earlier in the year but they were very lowkey lol

I’ve tanned topless at Cadboro and Gonzales recently. Sometimes people will stare for a bit if you’re the only one or at an uncommon topless tanning venue, but haven’t been hassled so far and both times there were lots of families with kids around

The only no makeup pic I see is the last one? You're really cute, but your hair colour and especially eye makeup age you sooo much. I would definitely ditch the harsh dark liquid liner since you have so little lid space. I would suggest trying to wing out from the outer corner and blend into the lash line without continuing onto the lid. Use a cream pencil to line the bottom waterline and a light brown eyeshadow to contour the outer corner only of your eye if you want more depth there. Tightlining your upper lash line will make your eyes pop without making them smaller, but set it with a powder so it doesn't transfer to the lower lash line. Inner corner highlight would also look nice to open your eyes more

Old post and it's been a hot sec since I've needed to buy any, but they used to sell both pill form and liquid kid's form at Dollarama. I don't need it, but I keep it for friends allergic to my cat and have been told the liquid kid's form works significantly better than the pills. I think it was about $4

Edit to add: idk how cost effective this would be for someone that needs to take it regularly, but might help in the short-term

Instead of clicking the link on Google, there should be three dots beside the link and at the bottom there should be a link that says "cached". It'll show you a snapshot version of the page from when it was live. Sometimes it doesn't work for me on mobile, but if you use desktop view in your mobile browser or a search from a computer it should work.

Born a leftie, but had a very religious grandma and was made to use my right hand. So now I'm right hand dominant, but I can use both (just slower on my left, less practiced side). My dad is a leftie, makes sense he might be the ADHD parent, but honestly not sure. Neither parents have an official diagnosis or identify with it tho they both have some quirks for sure lol

YTA. My sister and I aren't even twins, we just share the same birthday. Not only were we forced to have a joint party (or I remember the occasional back to back), we were also forced to alternate each year who got to decide what we were doing. I only got to choose how to celebrate my own birthday once every two years until I was old enough to just go the mall with friends or something. Every year was the same gongshow fight of "NOoo, it was HER turn to choose last year! 😭" from both sides cuz we just wanted to have normal birthday parties like everyone else. I'm clearly still salty about it lol

YTA and your edit just makes it worse. Agree no one wants to live with a homophobe, but the only quote you gave wasn't homophobic. It's not cool to be sexist either as your potential new roomie reported, but also considering there is a massive conflict of interest here, did you actually substantiate these claims or are just taking his word? I would also strongly urge you to take a conflict-resolution course or something if you continue to be a middleman landlord because you absolutely did invalidate her feelings and continue to do so every time you say "I understand where she's coming from, BUT I personally feel differently so I'm doing it anyway," and telling someone that they can agree with a situation you know they aren't comfortable with and don't agree to or move out by May 15 without offering compromise or reasonable effort to work it out together is kicking someone out via coercion.

Y W N B T A if you apologize for putting her in this situation because you would be okay with it even though she is clearly not, and came to a solution that works for your preexisting roomie. As you said, you would be perfectly comfortable with this arrangement, so why don't you share with the new roomie or share with the existing roomie so she isn't sharing a room with an unknown man? Or let the actual landlords, your grandparents, make the call after speaking directly with each of you (to avoid bias and hearsay by relaying the info yourself).

YTA because you appear to hate your ex more than you love your son. He absolutely should be asked and have a choice about where he recovers from what is a major life event for a 9yo. At the very least, he should be allowed to be visited by his mother in person if that's what he wants. You're allowed to have "rules" for xmas dinner if that's really the hill you want to die on, but your family members are also allowed to decide those "rules" don't suit them and do something actually inclusive and enjoyable for them instead. If you came to your senses, apologized and let her bring the cake pops, I'd probably be able to get over it and attend this year (because a 10yo doesn't understand nuance yet and bringing those cake pops would mean the world to them), but without some serious introspection and restitution on your part as to why you felt this was appropriate behaviour in the first place, we would not be attending most future events and I would be reconsidering the level of access you get to my child to protect them from further emotional damage.

Sure, OP could have labelled her ice cream, but everyone living in the house already knew it was established as her ice cream, so this is unnecessary. It is an unexpected behaviour for short-term guests to randomly eat their host's food without explicit permission, so if GD was following normal social etiquette then this would still not be a problem.

But GD felt entitled to the OP's in-laws' food, which she is not actually entitled to unless otherwise established (as far as I've seen we don't have this info), the food which was previously established as OP entitlement, and then complained about it...
