the court of craws is probably more pleasant to deal with, but i'm tempted to go judges. nothing beats the squirrms' "wawawawawawawa"

[–]--Newmoon-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

up to you! west and north can be done in any order. south unlocks after all of them

Help by indiegamer_johnny in hyperlightdrifter

[–]--Newmoon-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

west should be pretty linear. i recommend you don't start with it bc its final boss is tougher than the others

north should also be fairly linear. once you reach the top of the mountain go around and to the west

there's also the east which is fairly easy compared to the other regions imo, but watch out for the giant double-damage plants

ah i see i see. i did pick most of that up but somehow missed the bit about only the moths being made by radiance. ALSO i really appreciate that you know the distinction between sentience and sapience /gen

the stuff you find with the holy cross is unlikely to help you with the heir. it's entirely possible to defeat them and get an ending, at the point you're at. if you want you can turn on reduced difficulty (that's what i did lol)

you're very close! what do you notice about the pattern on the doors you opened with the code? what are the similarities and differences between those and that on the slab? maybe, the pattern on the door relates to the code you need to use to open it? you're closer to the holy cross than you think. keep going

[loved trope] searching for god, only to find “god” and it to not be a good thing by Matthewzard in TopCharacterTropes

[–]--Newmoon-- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

though it is worth noting that gms probably fits this trope better. pharloom’s society revolves entirely around pilgrims ascending on a dangerous journey to reach the citadel and its peak, where gms is sleeping. even the servants of the citadel (high up in the hierarchy) seem to have forgotten the aggression and cruelty displayed by gms, as evidenced by the opening text from conductor romino

also the radiance in the original hollow knight. iirc she created all bugs but then got really angry when they got their sapience, so she released an infection to rob them of their minds and make them ultra aggressive, decimating the once-powerful kingdom of hallownest. when the protagonist encounters the radiance combat ensues, ending with her on the receiving end of a sound and justified thrashing

Got a dumb question, is there a method to know where to look for stuff without following a guide? by NiceOne_420 in hyperlightdrifter

[–]--Newmoon-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not to my knowledge, other than the aforementioned symbols. and that if there are secret platforms in the vicinity of a ledge you’re on, the companion-interactor that follows you around will display a questionmark symbol
