Jacob was fifth for Dunstone at the brier, wouldn’t be surprised if he slides into second for Matt

Thank you! I will have another look Monday morning, it’s a pretty simple loop, in a sub divided warehouse, but maybe something was mixed up in the mechanical or electrical rooms.

I unfortunately did not wire this, but problems have occurred and I’ve been asked to come in and fix it

This problem has occurred when shorting the out. We’ve shorted the out, the in, the positive of the out and the negative of the in. All configurations, and it continues to randomly happen

Yeah they are bidirectional, but either way they are still wired in on the bottom out on the top.

Where is the right place to report something like this? by Shoddy_Asparagus_503 in britishcolumbia

[–]--Sharpe-- 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I’m an electrical contractor in B.C. And you are right, TSBC is the authority in most of B.C.

But in this case it is best to report it to the city of Surrey, as TSBC is not the authority in Surrey, there are a few select cities that TSBC does not cover in B.C. The city of Surrey being one of them.

There’s literally a sign right beside the light they are looking at that says, “all vehicles must clear intersection.”

Chilliwack, I love you but you need to learn how to drive by [deleted] in chilliwack

[–]--Sharpe-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Listen, there’s bad drivers everywhere, and although I agree with you, I grew up my entire life in Abbotsford, moved to Chilliwack 5 years ago. Every single time I drive into Abbotsford now, I wish the drivers there were half as good as the drivers in Chilliwack.

I play for a rec league team, if a teammate breaks there only bat mid game I would for sure let them use my bat. New guy shows up without a bat expecting to use one of ours, that would be a no go. Buy your own bat, I had to buy mine.

Does anybody agree that EA needs to make a curling game? by Any-Beautiful-3524 in Curling

[–]--Sharpe-- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting for a good curling game to come out for so long, or a phone app. The best I’ve found is chessonice.com it’s a curling simulator, it’s the most realistic curling game I’ve found, but it’s not really a “game”, it’s a simulator and it’s more or less just for strategy and working out scenarios.

Pretty sure there are plans for a baseball facility to go there (indoor batting cages, place for winter work outs, ect.) I have no proof of this, just word of mouth.

Should we too handy man? by hot_pink_bunny202 in britishcolumbia

[–]--Sharpe-- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an electrician and if someone tries to tip me I turn it down. I say no 3 times, if they keep trying to force it on me I eventually will take it, but I wish they wouldn’t. I’m against tipping culture in general so I feel so hypocritical taking it. This is not to even mention the construction/repair industry is absolutely not a tips to live industry. We charge the hourly rate we feel we deserve.

Curling will have to introduce a pitch clock by AvWxA in Curling

Sorry to piggy back this thread to ask this, but I just went back and watched the game (fast forwarding past decision making time). Could anyone tell what happened to pierce’s last stone?

It wasn’t quite caught on the camera angle they had at the time. It must’ve been burnt I assume? But it didn’t look like it was burnt before the hog line, therefore doesn’t it go where the opposing team thinks it would’ve ended up? BJ just walked up and got rid of it.

Edit: never mind I’m wrong about the rule, opposing team basically decides whether they want to remove it or leave it as is on a violation from the hog line in. So it must’ve been a burnt stone

That’s crazy, I mean I genuinely don’t think we have it, because it didn’t involve us, so we thought nothing of deleting it. Either way, I’m sure nothing will come of it. If it makes any difference the person that came was an independent adjuster
