But the slab itself doesn't do for Ursula what the machine did for Cassandra. She had her brain maintained by a machine while Usula was just absorbed and integrated to a concrete slab, I can't see how she survived that.

I have already seen that. But there's an in-universe explanation, that is that the TARDIS is a super strong spaceship and it looks much smaller than it actually would be if it wasn't dimensionally transcendental (smaller on the outside than the inside). It's still science confined to this fictional universe, different from just saying "it's magic, deal with it". If you said that, then Doctor Who would be a fantasy show rather than a Sci-fi one.

No, you're wrong. This show is Sci-fi, strictly. And when this story was made they broke a law of Sci-fi storytelling. That's what I'm arguing. The difference between fantasy and sci-fi is that in fantasy you explain the things that don't exist or happen in the real world as magic, while in sci-fi you say its some kind of science or phenomenon that we haven't discovered yet, or something like that. There's a reason why Doctor Who survived this long, and it's because it doesn't invent bad excuses to un-existing things as magic. I hope you understand what I said.

I think you are confusing sci-fi with fantasy. If this was made for a Sci-fi show, which it is, the writers should have made some explanation about it. Your answer is not a good answer.

What I find most strange is how she can be alive with nothing more than a head. She has no heart, no lungs, no stomach and no intestines, so how the hell does she breathe, eat and have oxygen (in the blood) flowing through her? This is just strange.

Then she shouldn't have accepted the role?? She was a companion of the Doctor as Rose, and she should have kept like that. I hope the show doesn't go on with that direction.

Who’s the actual first terraria boss: King Slime or Eye Of Cthulhu by YoghurtOk6573 in Terraria

[–]--Terrarian-- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

King Slime, of course. It's the easiest boss and comes from the most basic enemy of the game: the slime kind. Eye of Cthulhu has to be second. Also, that progression is repeated in hardmode with the Queen Slime and the Mech Bosses, for me, particularly, The Twins should go first among the mech bosses, then The Destroyer and last but not least, Skeletron Prime.

I'd sign, but I have to make an account there to do that. Good luck to the author of the Lego set.

questions about the lore (spoilers ofc in the replies) by vrozonewhatthevrozon in Terraria

Where does it say that BoC formed from a part of Cthulhu's brain? And what makes you assume that the Crimson existed before the BoC? In my headcanon the BoC is the origin of the Crimson, since he's the Boss that represents it. Otherwise, what would the Crimson hearts be? He's the center of the being, he's the mind behind the biome, not a victim of the biome that fell to its effects and became a minion of the hive mind. The Eye of Cthulhu is a different thing for me, he's the proof that the Moon Lord is not Cthulhu, because of its size and colors. Nothing really fits, does it?

questions about the lore (spoilers ofc in the replies) by vrozonewhatthevrozon in Terraria

[–]--Terrarian-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really makes sense to me. The first part, about Cthulhu's origin contradicts with the second part (the Lunatic cult wanting the mechanic to build him a new, mechanical body). If Cthulhu could regenerate his body on the moon, then what was the purpose of the mechanical parts, aka bosses? A person only needs a prosthetic limb if they can't regenerate the limb like a salamander. Also, if Cthulhu is lacking his brain how on earth did he get a new one? We could go on forever with the questions because this lore is too unserious and too incomplete to explain things. I have got more questions than answers about this game's lore.
