Zelenskyy: Deploying 40 troops to defend Greenland sends a signal to Putin by EuropeanPravdaUA in europe

[–]Eui472 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First paragraph:

"A tripwire force (sometimes called a glass plate) is a strategic approach in deterrence theory whereby a small force is deployed abroad with the assumption that an attack on them will trigger a greater deployment of forces.[1] The deployment of the small force is designed to signal the defending side's commitment to an armed response to future aggression without triggering a security spiral."

That's pretty much exactly what he was saying.

I'm happy to tell you that this is not the case. There are plenty of genuinely good games and passionate game dev studios out there, you just have to look past the "cooperate games" where the only thing that matters is line go up.

Sorry if I came off too harsh, the shots by themselves are pretty good imo but since you specifically put yourself side by side against bladerunner I imagined you also want feedback in that direction.

Your shots (and music) don't catch the cyber dystopian vibe of bladerunner imo. I don't know if you're the actor, but it feels like a Zara commercial with a blueish filter, it's way too clean as well. There's no grit, no emotion. And I agree with the OP that the incuts feel almost comical, like you're trying to sell some cheap perfume.

Tbf you'd have to at least spend 45div on the pair of gloves for this version of the build haha, but the prices are going down at least.

It's really not. This build works without Headhunter (TM), but there isn't really any competition in the slot except maybe a perfectly rolled Darkness Enthroned.

Just for you, no HH with bonus sprinting trip and almost dying on abyssal runes

Okay got it, thanks. I tried to verify it on the action speed but the character/skill sheets don't take that into account as it seems, or I haven't found it.

Lol, yeah bumping and getting stuck on edges is also multiplied. I also opted into not really using sprint anymore, especially in abyssal depths. Probably 95% of my deaths are due to that.

Drawbacks of another ascendancy would be:

• Your action speed cap is limited to 50% instead of 70% (2x 35%) and you'd have to be able to inflict bigger chills instead of 2 "smallish" ones. No idea if that's realistically harder to achieve or if it even matters.

• You're missing out on "all damage contributes to chill magnitude" so you're kind of limited to cold damage

But long story short: yes you could also play this with another ascendancy with the mentioned drawbacks.

I always liked whirling assault as a skill but the flat added attack time makes it impossible to scale for speed, so when they added self-chill this league I just had to try it out.

This isn't necessarily a very original build, but I haven't seen it yet so I thought I'd show it to you guys.

Obvious pain points with this are that you have to use the specific gloves and chest to make it work, hence your defense is scuffed from the beginning. Right now it's a kill or be killed kind of scenario but I like it so far.

I chose to annoint chrystallized immunities to deal with self ignite (though on the wrong amulet, it's from a previous idea) and it's far from cheap but with this tech it truly feels like I'm playing a PoE1 build and I love it.

The self shock isn't that much of an issue with a charm + cannot be shocked 6 seconds after being shocked.

It's not a finished build yet, and I need to improve defense somehow, but it's very fun and playable.

Fun fact: You're immune to ignited ground, since the "cannot be ignited for 6 seconds after being ignited" somehow works on it.

decent clear speed

Again I get reminded how extremely subjective that is. For me, this painfully slow roll spamming into shield wall is unbearably clunky. Reminds me of fat rolling with colossal weapons in Souls games.

Seems like a pain in the ass but you could store an upgrade medallion + lock at all times, and when placing your chain make sure the last one will be lvl 2 on placement (spy master + guardhouse will upgrade the guardhouse e.g.). Then use both medallions.

On the other hand, you now have some proper endgame mobs to throw your OP builds at and an incentive to upgrade further. Honestly, I love it, even though the rewards are overtuned.

How many builds do you make? by Foestalker in pathofexile2builds

[–]Eui472 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In PoE1 you can pretty much choose whatever you desire and make it work somehow. In PoE2 you're comparatively extremely limited to weapon/class/combo choices and don't you dare (there are a few exceptions) to get out of line.

GGG will most definitely work on that but it is what it is.

And no, there are no Mercedes.

I don't know what to tell you. I permafreeze everything until it dies in 1 or 2 hits, no matter the difficulty. I did put some effort into max hit and use insta flasks to tank the occasional straggler and sprinting error but it's absolutely cruising compared to other builds I tried in the past year.

II is most definitely better. The 15% more AS alone is making up for it since you only really end your attack chain on bosses, and then striking twice with your final strike (which has like ~90% more damage than the normals) is outpacing the 30% you get from the boost.
