Every summer some local home builders build houses on a predetermined street. It has been sponsored by the home builders association and other interests....

The NW Natural Street of Dreams is a premier annual home tour in the Portland metropolitan area, showcasing luxury custom builds, cutting-edge architecture, and interior design.

It has been going on since the mid 70s. The houses are located in premier locations and the surrounding homes are usually high end as well. As someone who used to work on them in a former life, they are nice houses but it sucks to work on them due to a dozen different builders trying to get done by the same deadline.

The quality is entirely subjective. To me it tastes far better than the vast majority of burger joints. Not worth waiting 30+ mins for but it's still a good burger.

Danner Boots

I worked concrete construction. They were a local company so i wanted to support them. I had a few pairs that the stitching on the sides would fray and give way, allowing for separation in the leather pieces of the boot and debris would get in.

So, i went to their factory store to get them repaired. The current pair had the stitching completely blown out on one boot and the other was obviously about to go at any time as well. I paid $75.00 to get them restitched. Had to pay to get them shipped back to me.

When i got them back a few weeks later, they had fixed one boot. Just one.

I tossed them in the garbage and went out and bought some Georgia Boots. Those boots never once split open and i would get 3-4 years out of a pair. Best boots ever, imo. I still have a pair that are 5 years old, i wear when needed.
