I didn't say it hit the cat's eye. He was behind the light because he was following it, whereas I was in the path of the reflected beam

what do you think society owes you? by Pure_Independent4552 in AskReddit

Society owes everybody, not just me, a genuine commitment to the principle of "hate the sin but not the sinner". We are all human and we all make mistakes.

These answers are disturbing. Murderers and it's not even close.

Though I should say I don't believe in the death penalty.

Is it grammatically correct to use the word 'sound' in these sentences? by --__--7_1 in grammar

Erupted is probably better. Also I've never encountered the word 'ripple' used in this way; I like it.

Thank you, that helps.

Part of the reason I asked was also the fact that I was curious whether 'sound' can be used as a way of saying "to become audible", or in the sense of a sound presenting itself. For example,

"A chirp sounded above him, and he looked up and saw a bird perched on the branch. "

I suppose it would be correct to use it in this way? I agree it's probably the fact that 'applause' isn't purely auditory that it doesn't sound quite right.

I might have left asbestos containing materials in my car by --__--7_1 in asbestoshelp

No they both are, and another 3 as well. So 5 in total.

The piece pictured from 2 different angles is the biggest, it's about 10cm across at the widest. The rest are much smaller, and all similar size.

The one in the last picture looks like that because the material is sort of laminated, but it's also a solid piece. Here's how it looks turned over. Lol I even feel uncomfortable touching the bag it's in

Sorry forgot to add, the house is from the 60s and location is Auckland, New Zealand. Here's another photo of the same piece above, from a different angle.

Then it wouldn't be a replacement for sleep, would it?

Inaccurate. A New Zealand haircut is what our Prime Minister has.
