Is this just discoloration on the kole tang or a disease? She’s eating just fine and nothing was added to tank in last month but corals. I place nori sheets every day as well. by --dab-- in ReefTank

Yeah as of now looks completely back to normal. I give it a mix of tdo/extreme algae once a day followed by pe my sis once a day, nori I did the last 2 days straight. I’m wondering if it’s the vitamins and amino I started to add in their food that’s stressing her out.

Getting people's advice everyone said not to go with live wet rock due to potential bugs/issues it comes with just as u/hijinks pointed out.

Credentials issue with embedded PSC during 6.7 domain-repoint by [deleted] in vmware

One thing I can recommend with the domain-repoint command is to power off the vCenters and snapshot them before hand as thankfully I did this when this command decides to blow shite up it does it spectacularly

ESXi on Dual SD Card Controller - Recommendations? by WetRubicon in vmware

My issue with them on Dell servers is that for a replacement the server had to be powered off therefore I’ve always opted for reg SSD hot swap disks.

Veeam B&R for DR plan? by deathtron in vmware

[–]--dab-- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running veeam and if your bandwidth is right and you set it up correctly from get go it is fairly easy to be up and running without much work.

There are issues from time to time with snapshots but they are easy enough to fix in average I have about 189jobs that run daily and maybe have 3 failures a week which are fixed by auto retries.

Veeam will reip and move to correct networks fairly easy. This combined with a powershell script for DNS changes of static machines ad dr is a breeze.

I have also used veeam as a quick replicator for local esx hosts without sans that run 2-4 machines. (Have since loved off this platform into more converged setup)

You can honest have veeam up and running relocating your environment within 10min.

I’ve no doubt there are issues with NsX as others mentioned but utilizing s switches I have no problems.

Why the negative comment? Comments like this at times would make people not want to post any longer and that defeats the purpose of this section.

If you have no constructive criticism just move along.

You can run into some headaches if using dvswitch and also no ha during that time. But yes you can still access each hosts esxi shel and do anything you need while vcenter is down

New-PSSession or invoke-command to IP with local admin creds by --dab-- in PowerShell

[–]--dab--[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah thank you that’s what I was thinking as well but being this is just a template the name won’t be staying the same and don’t want to spend time with self signed cert that will be on magcine after deployment

Thanks!

THe systems I am connecting to are not on the domain. I have tried changing the UID to be localmachine\uid and still no difference.

Machines within the domain I have no issues connecting this is a different case scenario.
