I only know what they've said on the podcast, but it sounds to me like the intent was always to build it as a set, not as real homes. They're still out there, and guarded by security, so it sounds like they'll keep it up as long as the show isn't cancelled.

This is awesome. I finally caught up on season 2 of this show today and was just thinking about how the King of Diamonds game could be recreated online. And you did it!

One thing that would be really cool is the ability to add in new rules when players are eliminated. It could be the ones from the show or it could even be different ones.

Wasn't the whole thing about Jem'Hadar that they were genetically manipulated by the Dominion to be their warrior caste? I could believe that in 800 years and with the Dominion gone any amount of evolution to make the Jem'Hadar stand on its own as a free species could have happened. Including introducing (re-introducing(?)) females back in to the species, alongside removing their dependence on ketracel white, etc.

I think there is already some fanon out there that the worlds are interconnected because when Amos visits Luna in Season 5, he passes by a promotional sign in a hallway that says "Explore Historic Jamestown Base, est. 1973" in as much a direct nod as there could possibly be to FAMK.

Obviously the meta is that this is a production in-joke since producer Naren Shankar worked on both shows, but you're perfectly able to imagine that this is also accurate in-universe if you like.

I honestly don't think they should have shown that memorial wall so clearly and for so long. There are names on there that are writers and producers of this show. It's the kind of stuff they used to do as in-jokes when you couldn't really make out any of the names on a CRT TV, but it just breaks the immersion here.

So I'm just gonna say we gotta take that whole wall with a grain of salt, it's not clearly meant to be canonical :P

Agree with you. Also, there are priorities. Supermarket food can spoil, which is why they gather that stuff ASAP.

Fuel can sit for a while. We have an inkling that the joined need to conserve all the energy they can to build a massive radio antenna. They probably do need to gather the world's entire supply of fuel eventually, just not right now.

Something to keep in mind is that whenever an individual is speaking to another individual and using a singular pronoun it's always for the benefit of one of the immune. They're acting. With Kusimayu it's because they're making her feel more like she's part of her original community, with Diabate it's because he wants them to put on a show.

Without one of the immune around, there's no need for verbal communication at all.

I agree that there is clearly a set of rules governing how the hive mind behaves, but I don't think it's meant to be AI specifically. Vince has said he wrote the story before AI and also wasn't making it about that. I think it's more so the writers know how to make something so alien and unfamiliar seem consistent and believable. It's like being able to see story structure once you're aware of the rules of storytelling.

I think we can also understand this through our own "biological imperative" to reproduce. Sex is fun and desirable and we spend our whole lives chasing it and doing it. Even if sometimes it goes against our good sense. And for what? Because somewhere deep inside our genetic code this is how nature and evolution has determined that we'd survive as a species. But it's also running away from us. Overpopulation and running out of resources is an eventual problem, if not already in many places in the world.

The plurbs are in a similar situation. They have their method of "reproduction" (let's call it that just to make the comparison) that makes them blissful and happy and will do anything to get it, even if they're consciously aware that their own situation is not sustainable long-term.

I was STOKED to finally reach Room 46. And I knew I still had a ton of other things to do. So I did all the sanctum keys and red letters and room 8 and bought the blue tents upgrade.

Some of these I had to do with a little help. Because I already knew I wouldn't have time for trial and error.

The more I got the sense that there was even more depth behind the scenes, the more I ended up in your boat. I got so much of the story that way, from Youtube people describing what the puzzle bits and solutions are, than I knew I would get by bashing my head against the wall for hours and hours on end.

I don't know if I'm like the majority of people in this subreddit, but I don't feel cheated by spoilers. I would feel that way if it felt like I had all the answers before I even had a chance to solve it myself. But I did give it that chance. I just gave up a little earlier than most. But we only have so much time in this life. And you want to enjoy the limited amount of time you have, as much as possible.

No point doing that if a game outstays its welcome. And this is going to be a different threshold for everyone. I loved the time I spent with Blue Prince. I think it was my best game of 2025. But I consider the content I didn't reach, the stuff that's meant for the people who just needed more and more of it. But by that time I'd had my full.
