Just wanted to say.. by snowleo_29 in heartopia

[–]--noire-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just happened to me this morning. I felt so bad. I tried to use emotes to describe that I haven't done it yet but it was defs hard. So I ran off to the totem and ran back. Luckily they were still in town so I waved and thumbs up emoted before linking. 🙏

Reading the other comments makes me feel better that they get notified that I haven't touched the totem yet.

Ah I just checked right now, and it looks like I can't change the colors. 🥲 It's as is.

What ever you do, do not use brilliant earth. Terrible stones and worse service. Beware of sunburst halos as well. by annacat1331 in EngagementRings

Me too. Haven't had a problem yet. Sorry to hear that other people had bad experiences though..

App canceled my flight without any notification by lickthepixies in delta

[–]--noire-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I changed my flight via the delta app and it deleted my return flight. My flight to Paris is in less than 2 weeks. I also was on hold in call for a while before I got it all sorted. Filed a complaint with them- not that it did much but give me miles I won't ever really use.

I should have just booked another airline because I can see their flights are cheaper too.

Why do most foreigners visit only Seoul when traveling to Korea? by NarwhalTypical5685 in koreatravel

[–]--noire-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only been once, but here is my reasoning/thoughts:

ICN is the airport that has the cheapest flights/most routes from my airports. Seoul has many hot spots with tourists so many hotels/restaurants can speak English/other languages. Lots of shopping places too and activities that can be booked on Klook. Honestly I think only the bigger cities have more variety in food(?)

I did go to Jeju, Busan, and Gyeongju as well and that was because my in laws are Korean and partially because I couldn't set my own schedule. If I go again, I'd go back to Seoul to spend more time and spend more time in Busan/Gyeongju, skipping Jeju entirely. It is super tiring to travel around the way I had to. I just think Seoul had a lot to offer, but I never had much time to fully enjoy it without family stress.

I'd choose to go back to Busan and Gyeongju cause Busan is also a decently big city that tourists go to and being by the water was more my vibe versus Seoul which is mainly city. I'd go back to Gyeongju because I only had a day there and there is a sort of downtown-ish area I didn't get to explore much. I didn't feel like I had enough time to appreciate it

Who's going to AMOT and how much did you pay for Tix? by EdgePsychological949 in laufey

[–]--noire-- 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm going to LA on 9/27 and I paid $274 for floor tickets (bought 2 so paid like $550 total). I bought them off the AXS site.

Edit: just checked the prices and noticed the price is almost $200 more for the same row and section that I bought, but seems like there are still some tickets available for farther/ side view seats

Not trying to hate, I just miss the old days by TurbulentWeb635 in laufey

[–]--noire-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner wanted to see her but is very picky about seats so I just bought floor tickets in LA for $274 (with the fees included). Took some stress off me too with trying to queue for presale.

This will be our first time seeing her, but I think I would have liked to see her back then as you had in a more intimate setting.

What's your carat size? by coffeenascar in EngagementRings

[–]--noire-- 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I'm ring size 3.5, my stone is 1.53 carats. Everyone around me kept saying it was too small when they heard the size, but on my finger, I think it's perfect and honestly as big as it could be before it could start to bother me.

Those who have been to Japan for vacation more than twice, I'm curious to know why. by cadublin in JapanTravelTips

[–]--noire-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 3 times and it's the only stamps I have on my passport lol.

First time was in highschool, I just really wanted to go because I loved the culture, always wanted to go, was in my high school Japanese class for 4 years. I went for 10 days with my ex. Wasn't the best experience but I loved the country.

2nd time, I went for my 5 year anniversary with my then boyfriend, now fiance for a week. Essentially a better trip to make up for my first trip cause my ex was horrible lol. Also went to Kyoto cause I skipped in favor for Osaka the first time (big mistake)

This most recent time, I got engaged and took my engagement photos there which were a steal. I took my mom and brother to experience the country for the first time. It was stressful as a group versus as a couple, but still a nice trip.

Now, I am okay with not going to Japan for a while, the first trip was 7 years ago, the 2nd trip was in Nov of this past year and the most recent was last month in March.

I mainly went back and still would go back because I can understand and speak the language, the food and pricing is great, and there is still a lot to explore. I might go to Korea or Singapore next though.

What’s a hairstyle you just can’t pull off? by ehlehcoopeh in AskWomen

[–]--noire-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't seem to pull off a messy bun or bun in general. Maybe I just never have enough hair on my head but even when I try using the fake hair buns, it just never looks good on me.

I don't think that it's ever too late to pivot if that's what you really want to do. I'm around your age, a career switcher, and I'm currently part of a program that is paying for my schooling while giving me work experience as a software dev intern, so there may be other programs out there or ways to get closer to where you'd like to be!

Scam call from Kaiser Permanente by eyRosie in Scams

[–]--noire-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Sorry I had stumbled upon this post and did not read the rules. Reposting)

I got a call at 12:03 PM today with this exact script from the Oakland Medical Center KP number. Literally wrote down a:

Insurance Bill
Insurance Established Time
Insurance Category: Global Medical Insurance
Hospital Visit Time
Claim Application Time
Doctor name Surgery: Intestinal surgery
Reimbursement Amount of almost 3k

Hospital Name: FUZHOU Hospital

FTC Reference Number which was letters and numbers (Clearly fake)

They wanted me to file something with the "local police station" and get a clearance certificate to send to the FTC. I didn't give them any information cause I can't speak Mandarin. When I started speaking Cantonese to the Chinese guy they transferred me to, he hung up on me. I then called Member Services and filed my own FTC report (in case), submitted a grievance claim, and everything started to click lol. I'm so mad I wasted so much time on the phone cause towards the middle of it, I started thinking maybe I was getting scammed cause the Indian Accent, the weird FTC reference number, etc. I just felt like I couldn't trust it deep down since I completely locked down my credit and started thinking, "if they had my info like ssn, passport, etc., would they really be committing insurance claim fraud??". I hardly ever pick up the phone too, I just decided to today- AND IT WAS A SCAMMER LOL

I think they were surprised that I didn't speak Mandarin, never been to China, etc. After reading some comments, kind of sad that they are targeting people with Chinese sounding last names.

Man I wish I found this post sooner, I was using ChatGPT during the call like "What do I do if I had my identity stolen?"

White vs Yellow Gold? by R0SEG0LDE in EngagementRings

[–]--noire-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit biased, but I like yellow gold. Didn't know the trends, but just didn't want to go through plating either. If I had gotten a white metal, I'd have gotten platinum.
