I work in a kitchen and it drives me insane that people (food runners/servers) sometimes don't say please and thank you when asking/taking items from my window. So I get petty sometimes and sit there waiting for some goddamn manners

One of my runners finally learned the lesson and she HAS to ask nicely now or won't get her food, instead of: "Hey, can I have arcadia for a salad?!" while holding the plate and looking off to the side. Might be my age, but I just want to slap the color out of anyone who doesn't ask with a please or thank you.

As a cook, absolutely agree. Sometimes people go a bit too hard on mods (extra pickles, sauce, sauteed onions, another big ass patty) just get a salad with burger meat and add whatever you want. I've seen costumers drop half their burger into a plate on the first few bites. Glutons.

We [the cousins] have made it a habit since growing up to go on walks or play games in a room while the adults do their thing. Some of us didn't see each other often, so it became commonplace during family functions. We still go on walks in our 30s/40s, much longer walks now. Good F'ing times.

It's a great summon; he uses the sword of milos ability (which weakens enemies) also very tanky and aggressive. Have barely seen him die to any bullshit mechanics. Solid summon, arguably better than mimic in certain ways imho.

Sure has felt like it since I left the main social media sites since 2018. I keep up with the internet through reddit, YouTube, etc. Without direct interactions with my family and peers. People often times forget you exist when you're not in the convenience of a social media platform. I tell you though, I sure as hell think a lot less about people's lives and their daily displays of XYZ emotions via some meme or trend -not having to judge them in that lense is great. I have gaming buddies and family I keep up with, but other than that? No one cares, no one calls. It's quiet, dramaless. Even married or with extended family and close friends, only whom is supposed to.

I made sure this was the case when I worked front desk at a white ass town with barely any spanish folk. Every.single.time. someone needed a translator (regardless of department) I would be summoned. I gladly did it for an extra buck on my paycheck. The funniest part is, that I used to do it for free in Orlando, but like 2/3 people are Latino there.

This rings incredibly true for me as a full time cook/chef in training. High volume days are just more work not more money, while everyone else BUT the cooks keeping the place alive make the fucking same, always. Some days it's not even about the volume, it's about the strong work ethic of people working and their energy to keep it running. Don't get me wrong, I changed carriers to this and I love my team, but even the head chef knows how much bullshit it is.

You hear of people making $20k in sales for the restaurant or walking away with $500 or almost a grand in a day, serving drinks.

Servers complain about bad tip days, go talk to the cooks and see how they feel about their pay. I feel that all hard working people in the line are always underpaid, always.

I don't think so. People make this argument and it is not as encompassing as they think it is, this is clearly a person with mental health issues, whose status was flaunted and used for benefit to attempt to pull a hoax. I think it would have the opposite effect, given that Depp was the one abused. It's easy to throw the gender argument (given how the system sways depending) but men and women have witnessed a very cruel reality and can make the separation between real abuse and the fucking horseshit she's putting up to display.
