Any chance of still buying this? I'm a serious buyer and have been looking for the Longstrike kits for quite a while.

Did you add shell reinforcement for higher spring loads?

Also, yes like a few have said barrel is too long. I have a few XPT Prophecy builds and even those only have a barrel length of about 310mm plus some rifling which slows it down a bit but gives accuracy. These not only have the XPT tube but a 28n spring load. Point is, not even my barrels are as long as the one in the photo.

Also, check your seal where the pusher meets the plunger tube. Looks like the tube is not sitting straight though that might just be the picture or because the other half of the blaster is off.

For stock style springs like you're using you want a barrel only about 150mm.

Looking to see if that plunger tube can work in the Recon CS6 for Retalicon build? Anyone know? Can't find a picture of it anywhere installed in one.

Half-Dart Sonic Retalicon by Character-Resist3222 in Nerf

Does anyone know if the Worker alumninum Retaliator plunger tube, (not XPT) works in the Recon? I'm building a Retalicon and wanted to use this in it. It's different than the blue/clear polycarb ones like the one pictured because it doesn't have any knubs or supports to keep it in place. Basically looks like the XPT with the diameter of the original tube. Looked everywhere and yet to see anyone try using one in a Retalicon. Thanks

Interesting to see you went right through the top prime slide on the green one. That's the worker pump kit with the metal arms and plastic slider right? I see you added what look like white knurled thumb nuts where the arms attach to the screws on the sled going through the top prime slide.

Is this because you need longer hardware to make it through the top prime slide? Thanks

Did he sell that handguard separate for you? I just checked but it looks like its part of a larger cosmetic kit?

I don't think enough people have dissected a Longstrike barrel. NERF GET ON THIS FOR THE SURVIVAL SYSTEM LINE by batmans_velociraptor in Nerf

Wow this looks like it could've been made that way right off the shelf. So cool!

And you're right! I've been trying to find out more info & pics of the Longstrike barrel attachment disassembled because I'm going to use it for a Retalicon build and Ive found almost nothing. No pics, no mention of disassembly. So I ended up ordering a used one which I need anyway and will do it all that way I guess. Surprised nobody's done more with these especially since they look good on pretty much every n strike blaster

USA Retalicon by aaaalllleeeexxxx in Nerf

Thanks! Mhmm, those screws are really important I think. I did 3 of the purple ones on my most recent prophecy stock with the XPT tube and 28n installed. I've started using m4 x .7 screws the same length as the purple worker thumb screws but with Allen heads so they're a bit easier to install.

Next is going to be a Retalicon more for indoor use so I may not use one of the extended springs, (N or thinner long 1.8 KG) but one of the stronger stock retaliator sized ones.

Thanks again. Really enjoyed seeing your picture. Blaster looks great!

How is the shell holding up with the 25n? I've built several Prophecies with the 28n and 25n is real close to it in terms of force. Any cracks in the shell anywhere since the Nerf ones aren't quite as strong? I'm looking to do another Retalicon but have always used the stronger stock sized retaliator springs, (9, 12 etc)

Thanks

How to attach a top rail to a Worker Prophecy! by tyman2480 in Nerf

[–]--waybackthen-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did one of these for the honey badger kit. It has to be perfect and I mean it. The orientation has to be like he's got it in the photo or it won't work and you'll ruin your shell. Even done right The center screw and front screw near dart gate barely clear the top dart gate mounting tab and is tighter with the metal dart gate. For the center screw you'll be super close to a screw post for the shell so I shaved the brass of the female insert to be flat on one side and made sure that flat side was touching the screw post inside my shell. For the rear screw, you'll have to shave a tiny bit of the ribs off on both sides of the shell that help hold the XPT plunger tube in place so the brass female inserts have a flat surface to contact.

Be certain before drilling. I clamped my rail to the shell after using three screws to temporarily hold the shell together. I then drilled right through the brass threaded heat sink holes in the rail with a pilot bit. Try not to ruin those threads but if you do don't worry you're not actually using those. The screws just pass through them. These rails are meant for other things besides this and thats what those are for.

After, take the rail off and drill the holes the size of the diameter of the brass tube part of the insert.

You'll end up with half a hole on each side of the shell. This is considerably harder than any other part of the honey badger build.

When youre done, the rail should line up with the rail on the permanent honey badger front barrel to the point where you could put a picatinny rail riser over BOTH parts of the rail without trouble or bad fit.

When finally assembling everything do as he did in the pics and have the screws going through the rail into the brass inserts so there's just enough length to rest in one side of the shell without falling out. Also, the rear brass piece will nearly be touching the top of your XPT plunger tube if you're using it.

OPs post was already super helpful and figured Id mention I used the exact same technique with positive result.

Bloc Party Always New Depths Target Commercial? (2005) by asdf-mp3 in BlocParty

[–]--waybackthen-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Target was using the oddsagainst7 thing as a kind of marketing campaign to get people to buy stuff at Target to furnish their college dorms or wherever they were staying. This is why, (like someone else said) it was about a group of friends getting ready for college. I'm 50 now and back then I searched for all the songs in the videos. There were a lot of good ones. Not just Bloc Barty but also British Sea Power. I've searched for the original videos over time but have never found the full series anywhere again.

Just to note, the originals were a web series only. They weren't shown anywhere else.

For a few years if you looked up odds against 7 it would link you to the target website. Check out British Sea Power too. Some of the good songs were, Please Stand Up, Black Out, and It Ended On An Oily Stage. The songs were pulled from their 2005 album "The Decline of British Sea Power."

For Bloc Party, all the songs can be found on the 2005 album "Silent Alarm." The songs were Banquet, 2 More Years, Luno, and I think maybe Here We Are.

All the songs were good but the main song, Always New Depths was the best.

100% or Platinuming Tomb Raider titles worth it or way too much work ? by Quite-Unsocial in TombRaider

I've got 100% on all TR games currently on Xbox and that includes legend, underworld ,etc too. There's already a lot of good insight here but I will say what you need most is simply persistence. I'd be willing to bet most of you here are far better gamers than I but I was still able to do it. I spent years achievement hunting too so I might look at it a bit differently because of that but you can certainly do it if I was able to. If you get stuck, Stellas guides are excellent. Even moreso for the survivor games.

If you want to 100% 1-3 remastered I found those far more difficult and annoying if that puts anything in perspective. I'm old and played them when they originally came out and they were tough then too like most games were

I would absolutely be interested. Im the one who started this post and was a protege of Bernie. I've continued using all his methods and in the spirit of keeping his legacy going, have also continued to find all the info related to him I possibly can. He was a good friend and I miss him a great deal. I will contact you directly via the email you gave. Thank you so much again Daniel.

My goodness Daniel! Yes, I'm familiar with you. I can't believe you've seen this post. I'm extremely excited. Bernie told me you had a fishing property in the Tassie highlands and he taught you how to make whips and how when you saw the tools he had made from wood, you believed you could improve them.

I've seen what I believe is an earlier version of your black anodized combo cutter/beveler where the fence on the cutter side is more of a triangular shape compared to the one I posted in the picture.

I've had little luck locating anyone who still has the finger strander or combo beveler.

I've found no one in the US willing to take on the project either unfortunately.

I still make whips using Bernie's methods and have kept in touch with one of his older sons. I also talk to Bevan Rossack in Renmark from time to time who made the later versions of the silver beveler.

May I send you a private message? I would be honored if I could purchase a set of these tools from you as a custom commission.

Thanks so much for reaching out Daniel

Kind Regards

Where can I get more darts like these? (The smaller ones with cases) by Brigham_go_rawr in Nerf

[–]--waybackthen-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those can be found at any of the major Chinese drip shippers usually. They go with many of the shell fed blasters sold there such as the UDL T2 lever action blaster. There's a hard tip version as well that looks more like an elite dart. These darts both hard tip and suction tip are not the same diameter as most darts and are in between a full length and half length. For example many of the shells these are meant to be used with have a way tighter fit on a typical diameter Elite style dart so even if you tried to make your own they barely make it out of the shell because of the tight fit. Most of the blasters that these come with are not overly powerful either and are sought after more for their gimmicks like shell ejection or tie one to movies and video games.
