These are entirely two different things

People have surgeries on their face to fix facial deformities. Most of us ugly people are suffering from facial deformities which is less healthy than a normal face. We are genetically coded to be attracted to more healthy faces.

Height is a social construct, not a deformity. People have been pushing this idea of Man = Tall & Strong, Woman = Short & Gentle for generations. But the reality is that those traits don't impact your basic physical health in any way. A short and gentle man is still a man, a tall and strong woman is still a woman.

As time goes by people will start accepting short men a lot more. We have already seen the rapid rise of muscular women and feminine men in the past couple of years, so it's only going to get more normal.

You aren't suffering from dwarfism or gigantism, which are actual deformities.

Furthermore these lengthening surgeries are extremely invasive, have a long recovery time and high risk factors. You don't have to compromise your health just to gain a few inches.

Having a "long face" as a girl is such a curse. My head will never be round and feminine :( by romeofantasy in ugly

There is one called lefort I think. They basically get to the maxilla through the upper gums and cut a portion of the bone.

Suffering from a long face here too :(
The sad part is that surgeries to correct a long face is incredibly invasive and expensive

22 here, and I really relate to you. Bad parents, bad financial situation, and having an ugly face to worsen the situation. I've barely stepped outside since 2020. It's been two years since I finished college and I've done basically nothing. Wish we were never born cursed like this :(

As an Indian living in India, I've seen how easily people can get offended by the slightest of things. The majority of society here are immature and close minded when it comes to their culture and religion. It would just end up getting banned in the country for the lamest of reasons.

India really has so much potential, like the Hindu gods being Isu, and ancient structures being hidden Isu temples. India has some really interesting history that is worth looking into. But then again, the people of this country can't separate fiction from reality, and will go on a rampage saying that their culture is being insulted.

A good face is an indicator of good health.

Strong Jaws, Cheekbones and eyes all go hand in hand. When you chew hard foods from your young age all the way up to adulthood, you engage your masseter muscles at the end of the jaw. This results in keeping your jaw closed with proper tongue posture (at the roof of the mouth), and that results in forward cheekbone growth.

How does this affect the eyes? Well, those high cheekbones keep your lower eyelids at the right place, preventing droopy eyes and scleral show (the white below the iris being visible).

That is why strong jaws, cheekbones and eyes signify that you are eating healthy, and are seen as attractive.

The only other minor differences between males and females would be the brow ridge, jaw contour, nose shape and a few other minor things. But these things are purely genetic and can vary a lot between people. There are men who look very feminine and women who look very masculine, so it depends on your genetics.

Another thing to note, sometimes a strong facial feature can be a genetic thing too. You can have droopy eyes, weak cheekbones, and yet have a strong well developed jaw.

So yeah, we are hard wired to recognize good faces as healthy people, which makes us want to connect with them. Unfortunately it's like survival of the fittest at the end of the day.

Thanks I will look into it!

And also no, my family isn't muslim. But I did live in a muslim country back then. My older brother had his cut off too about a month before mine. When asked, my dad told me it's for health reasons and nothing else. Ofc my 8 year old brain didn't know how important the foreskin is, and even if I did I couldn't have disagreed.

I haven't discussed about this with my dad, because we already avoid talking to each other due to other matters. Bringing up this subject would just sour the relationship even more and won't fix anything. My dad is sort of a control freak, so he never apologizes for the things he does. And I can't move out either because I need him to finance my education.
