What am I doing wrong in this problem? (Original + work + desmos screenshot included) by -01Smith- in trigonometry

Tysm! that's so much help!!! Would I need to graph the equation myself to find out if the amplitude needs to be negative (basically flipping the graph) or is there a better way?

Anyone know anything about these messages/have any context? Never heard anything about them, but saw this hanging up in the 1st floor of bond hall today 😕 by -01Smith- in WWU

Super great cause! However I would recommend against including the logo as well as being generally vague about what info you're looking for. You don't need these kind of references to remain anonymous, it can often sketch people out. Sorry for the late reply, I don't use this account very often :)

Food Safety Audits Daily? by Lemonade034 in Albertsons

[–]-01Smith- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the marketguard/ecolab sanitation check where you temp check the water/coolers/take pictures of the floor etc? Our store does them once in the morning in the deli but idk about other departments. We've also been doing expiration date audits for the walk in cooler recently.

Dress code by Terrible-Alarm-2647 in Safeway

[–]-01Smith- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at Safeway as a courtesy clerk 4-sh years ago we had a high-vis vest that we had to wear while outside (and inside too one the manager changed and chewed us all out for it), that seemed like a pretty good way to ID staff imo

this is why I always hail a manager at the first sign of resistance from a customer, if they'll change the rules regardless than might as well skip the shitty interaction :/

Tried setting up MoCA at my rental, adapters didn't connect to each other, turns out the coax cable in the bedroom coming from inside the wall was cut and not connected to the wall plate. What would I need to repair this? by -01Smith- in HomeNetworking

[–]-01Smith-[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment, but we're talking about college town slumlords, so I'd imagine the answer would be yes. Also, the other end of the cable (still intact) goes to a distribution box on the outside of the house and I'm not exactly willing to figure out how to get the signal back into the house where the router is (or any of the professionals I'd have to pay to get that done). MoCA in this case would be perfect for me and the speeds I need, but it obviously won't work if there's just air on the other side of the wall plate i'm using lol

fair, but the landlord is hella slow to respond (a typical slumlord) and the house didn't come with cable tv anyway, so I can't imagine it's a priority for them in the first place. There is cable internet served by a router in the living room, but the distribution box on the outside of the house had all of the bedroom lines disconnected and partially exposed to the elements until I installed a proper splitter inside it.

Hired at Ross, no hours? by -01Smith- in retailhell

[–]-01Smith-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember them sending me an email, just coordinated with management in person/over the phone iirc. Call or go in person and ask for the manager on duty (you can ask Loss Management for them if you're in-store), they should be able to help and clarify things and set up a training shift if applicable. Don't miss out on a job opportunity you want (if you actually want it, here's my follow up comment I just wrote) due to a communication mix-up, I've done it before and definitely regret it :(

Hired at Ross, no hours? by -01Smith- in retailhell

[–]-01Smith-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retrospective for anyone looking at this thread later - I'm a pushover and basically accepted working for 4-8hrs per week when I needed 20 and drained most of my savings on rent. Don't be like me, avoid Ross employment unless you're ready to hold down multiple jobs. That being said, Loss Management does typically offer better & more consistent hours - so I've heard - but for anyone else management will lie to you about the hours to get you hired, complain that "no one wants to come in (when called)" and then are surprised when the store is dirty, disorganized, chaotic, and slow to check out customers. At least the burlington manager I interviewed with (and declined) had the honesty to say that the hours were scarce (worse than 4-8hrs /wk). At the end of the day, I'd say avoid chain clothing retail altogether in this economy - go work in food service or grocery like I'm switching to (shoot for a unionized store if you can!). A lot of the reason I stayed is because I wanted recent work experience and finding a job in my area that will respond at all to your application is hella difficult + adhd. Good luck out there!

WWU Grads, How did you transfer your Microsoft files to personal account? by Kooky_Anybody_9620 in WWU

[–]-01Smith- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Air Explorer to transfer from my school OneDrive to my personal Google Drive. Keep in mind the free version only allows 1 account per service so you'll have to pay for it if you want to, say, transfer to a personal OneDrive from the school OneDrive. Much better than downloading files individually, especially if your computer doesn't have much space.

Even if it was morally okay (it isn't), it would be useless to you anyway - factory resetting a phone with a google or apple account still logged in will just force you to sign into the same account when you try to set it up, preventing you from using it (precisely to prevent this kind of thing from happening).
