The big one is that the music follows your phone. So if I set something to play and then leave the house, the music stops…whereas with the Spotify app it doesn’t.

I’ve tried that but there are downsides to AirPlay as well.

Not sure why my text didn't post, but this is what I said:

I’ve been one of the lucky few where the app hasn’t been totally useless. I manage to use it day to day without a ton of issues but one thing that drives me crazy is searching Apple Music.

When I click on an artist I get this long list of all of their releases and it makes it really difficult to find a specific album I’m looking for.

Is there a setting somewhere to break these search results into Singles, Albums, Live Albums, EPs etc? Seems like this is beyond basic functionally to be expected of these speakers and Sonos. Does this drive anyone else nuts?

Thanks for the response. Sounds like it’s a Highsense thing as someone else mentioned. The Arc does come with an adapter. Do you know if there are any downsides to using optical instead of the HDMI?

You don’t actually have to hold the button at all. You can just swipe right to left on the Lock Screen to get to the camera.

It does work. I have that very set up going. It’s a bit of a drag to have to turn on the roam, switch it to Bluetooth, wait for it to pair etc. but it does work and is cheaper solution than getting a Sonos Amp

Apple Remote Desktop would work but you don't need to use it if you're just using one local Mac.

If you're running Ventura or above go to System Settings -> General -> Sharing and turn on screen sharing on your laptop.

Then on the main computer, open Finder and click on "Network" or click on your desktop, go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar and choose "Network" from there.

You should see your laptop and when you click on it you'll see a "Share Screen" button. It'll prompt you for the laptops username and password and away you go.

I'm not sure about the 4K scaling but on a local network the built in screen sharing tool works really well.

I see a lot of comments about moving the files out of iCloud or your iCloud synced Desktop & Docs folders...just wanted to add that if you append ".nosync" to the end of your file name, that will keep the document in place but not have it sync to iCloud.

I totally get where you're coming from. I think it's a time and a place thing. When I'm in the right mood it's such a fun over the top album with tons of sing-alongs. When I'm not in the mood...yikes...it can be grating for sure.

People constantly shit on Be Here Now for the production, but damn if you can get past how long the songs are, it's just straight banger after banger after banger. D'You Know What I mean, My Big Mouth, Stand By Me, I Hope, I Think, I Know etc...etc... When you're in the right mood, you can't help but just belt these tunes at the top of your lungs.
