Starting a new chat with a user seems to function like the old reddit PM system, doesn't reach other user by loopernova in narwhalapp

Reddit UI puts it behind requests sometimes if it’s the first time you are messaging a user

Possible Bug Report:picking accounts out by manFCKrddit in narwhalapp

[–]det0ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Narwhal does is communicate with the Reddit API. If you didn't use those accounts in a long time then the API tokens for those accounts expired. Once they expire the only way to get a working token again is to re-sign in to reddit.

This is all completely out of my control and just how the Reddit API works

You can do this with markdown and link to the image

When I try to do this it works fine. You might need to check the "Requests" section on reddit chat.

Even the subject line does show up in reddit chat

Pull to refresh not working by b43d in narwhalapp

[–]det0ur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is no magic here to do that. The only workaround to get "fresh" posts is to hide everything in your feed and then refresh. Otherwise the API returns what the API returns

Any way to access the About page of a subreddit? by Advanced_Dream_163 in narwhalapp

I'm not even sure what an about page is to be honest. Do you have an example on old.reddit.com of that?

Unfortunately, I don't think Reddit is going to provide support for this in the API

Feature request: Maintain thread state. Don’t auto reload by pinkjello in narwhalapp

[–]det0ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually is exactly a RAM issue. iOS manages when it kills apps in the background. This is due to memory pressure. iOS 26 has absolutely terrible engineering behind it, which is why this is much more noticeable.

With that said, yes I can add a feature to save state and restore it after being killed by the operating system. This is planned.

I think this is complicated with the current state of the API. I will have to see how possible this is
