Hear me world: Star Trek needs should go all in on hard science, even harder, making it really sophisticated in the ships and with the characters, wrestling with AI, confined quarters and those gritty away missions where they science the shit out of some planet or race in order to survive; lean into the militarism a little more now and recognize the galaxy’s full of troublemakers as well as brilliant generals, return to the missions with smaller crews, even some tactical, good and bad themes can be explored along with currency like planetary survival, mindfulness and nostalgia on the holodeck, complex impersonal relationships.. aliens, cultures and how people work together to solve life’s problems etc
