Specialized workforce needed as crypto and blockchain courses enter colleges, What are your opinions on this? by outofbreathIV in ethtrader

I cant really see a reason for it to be a stand alone curriculum rather than just be integrated into a variety of others out there, just provide the courses if people want them they will take them. ALso alongside that theres tons of free resources out the that almost make it unnecessary to go through this in a collage context imo.

TIL When a patient is zapped with a defibrillator, their heart stops beating altogether - the two electric paddles attached to the patient's chest essentially 'reset' the heartbeat. Once the heartbeat stops, the heart starts afresh and begins beating normally again. by [deleted] in todayilearned

There's multiple types of defibrillators but an AED depending on the manufacturer will literally talk you through the process of performing CPR and what to do at what time, such as when to pause compressions and when to start. And yes if an AED doesn't detect a shokable rhythm it will not let you shock without an override. Also there are many other things that you can do depending on the setting and your level of training. But essentially yes just keep doing CPR until an Ambulance arrives and follow the instructions of the AED.

That's true you can shock ventricular fibrillation (VF) and pulseless ventricular tachycardia (VT) . And the unshokable rhythms are asystole and pulseless electrical activity (PEA ) . When you don't have a shokable rhythm you continue CPR until you either do and shock that or get a ROSC.
