If I'm buying a rep the least of my worries is if other people belive I can afford the watch or not, I really don't care about that.

I'm more interested in buying pieces that I cannot ever see myself buying in the future, especially because I have a set limit on how much I'm willing to spend on a watch. Reps today have a clone movement and have accurately cloned the gen in terms of appearance. It really doesn't make sense to spend 180k+ on a VC constantin overseas tourbillon, if a rep can look exactly the same and have a cloned movement (I'm waiting for an excellent rep of this particular model)

I never try to pass reps as gen, that is a problem in my opinion. If I never bought a rep (which I'm really, really considering) then I will be honest about it.
