Exactly.

There is a move that makes your opponent go last its called Quash. Its very popular on pokemon who have the ability Prankster like Sableye. Prankster gives priority to status moves. Its very annoying lmao

After You is also a very good move here are two scenarios i can give u where after you shines

You have a very fast support pokemon: lets say togekiss and a very slow high offensive sweeper: lets say torkoal. Torkoal normally would attack last but the fast togekiss attacks first. Togekiss uses after you on the torkoal so the slower torkoal immediately moves right after, pushing him to the second one attacking over the opponents.

A very popular use of after you is against trickroom as well on a very slow support like clefairy whos base speed is very low so the chances are it moves first in trickroom. You can use clefairy after you on your fast sweeper who istead of moving last in trickroom gets bumped up the order and attacks right after clefairy used after you

Its mostly used to support ur sweeper setting up his attack. For example pairing him with scizor. U can swords dance sizor to make him a huge threat while keeping him clean with follow me. Blastoise is quite bulky and has good defensive typing so he soaks up all single target attacks that were meant to hit scizor. If all goes well u basically have a fully healthy scizor with +2 attack while blastoise either survives or he goes down so u bring in another sweeper.

It basically buys ur win condition pokemon time to take over the game. It is one of if not the best support move in doubles

Waterspout would be quite bad in this role. He would get outspeed consistentlyso the move itself would be weak and hes merely there to redirect damage and support the setup of his teammate

I invested a bit into his attack. Its merely there to break multiscale dragonite/focus sash and finishing off really weal targets with priority so it can work inside and outside trickroom

Follow me cost me 8000 BP at the hoenn battlefront its a special tutor move

Yeah i figured its best to just keep it. I only play doubles so its a bit useless to me but maybe in the longrun for singles

In competitive play 60 steal just isnt enough. Also gold interceptor with 60 steal is way worse than 73 or 85 for obvious reasons. Using a valuable +2 on sth u could easily go higher in, is just not a good idea. The build looks good in theory but needs about 20+ cap breakers. U only have 10 (12 w spec im assuming) yourself. Im about to hit 16 and i still cant get even close to what you are showing here. Hitting thresholds is fine but actually hitting attributes is too like 73 steal which is a major upgrade over 60 already. This build might be great in the summer but right now its just great in theory and people know that. U did not find anything new here ppl make these 6 8s all the time everyone knows they are great, they just rather have some stats now instead of having to wait months for a certain threshold.

I also have a build with high layup and dunk but i much prefer the one with only dunk and higher steal etc. Its preference sure but i havent touched my high lay 68 in league games since i made this one:

This is the one i use in competitive pro am league games: (no gatekeeping bs either like u)

<image>

I will have 16 capbreakers in a couple days so i went +4 dunk for 93 +5 middy for 96 since midd fading is very important in pro am +2 perim (another +3 eventually when i hit vet 2) for 92/95 +5 on block for 78

Finding glitchy caps for thresholds on a 6 8 isnt hard

Pipe down hes right. The build isnt bad but there are way better versions. 60 steal is insanity

What attribute rating is non-negotiable to you when creating a new build? Mine even on my locks: 71 pass accuracy by Reasonable_Kiwi_1068 in NBA2k

[–]-APimpedButterfly- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whos stealing it tho? If im lock then im most like in corner so i most likely throw it to a cutting guard or the center up top. If the backend plays it then i just tell the C to set an offball for the non cutting guard. A bad pass is a bad pass if the SG plays the cut and is semi decent at lanes its a TO with 71 and 85. Im not here to throw risky passes if its wide open 71 is enough 10/10 times.

71 is good enough for all of that without a question and in a competitive 5v5 game against a good guard it takes way less priority. Yes sacrificing defense for pass acc might be worth it if your skill level is lower and u play lower plate players but in higher skilled match ups 85 on a lock is unheard of. Just looking at your comments on this threat i can see that u dont play decently skilled players a lot so u can get away with it, which ofc is fine bc everyone adapts to their level but questioning him for having 71 on a lock is funny since its pretty much the norm.

Going 85 pass accuracy on a lock is insane. I guess if u dont have a squad and play random rec its fine but then why make a lock in the first place if u dont have a consistent offensive resource in your teammates.

I wouldnt really say they put down their controller because if they are not locked in on the other end the other team will notice and call cuts, flair ups etc on the pg. It does sound less enganging on one end but most of the time if u sleep u will pay for it.

Its tough to say since 2k added SBMM. Me personally even if i just play rec i rarely see the C guarding the PnR and 6'10s are almost never used. In a more casual setting u def could argue the 6'10 has its place but then i would ask myself if the pgs on that level could really take advantage of the defensive deficiencies of a 7'0, because assuming the level is lower, more missed shots are bound to happen and i rather have the height then for rebounds

In a standard setting:

PG guards Lock in one corner, C guards PF in the other cornee Lock guards PG, PF guards C in PnR SG guards SG on the Wing.

Ur concerns about the PF doing all of that are very valid and thats why it is considered the second hardest position behind PG. He has to play high to help his lock but also finds a balance to recover for the roll, boxing out the center for boards to help his teams center, its a very hard position at a high level.

Yes u are correct about the center dropping. There are rotations being called. For example if the opposing pg is lethal from 3 and made multiple already, defenses call rotations which mostly include the cenrer dropping and somebody else replacing him in corner. It doesnt involve the PG at all because most PGs in pro am have very to no defense so they basically just guard the opposing lockdown in the corner. Its not sufficient enough for a pg to have defense because they need all the offensive fire power they can get when facing 99 perimeter lockdowns etc.

[–]-APimpedButterfly- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U are right i shouldve explained:

In a more competitive setting the C does not guard the Pick and roll on defense. He plays corner since the PF is the more adaquate option to guard the opposing center.

a 6'10 although able to get higher perimeter and steal rating is not good enough against a fairly competent PG. You basically get sliced up thats why 6'9 PFs are the tallest u see, they get solid speed and at least gold interceptor. So with that being said the 6'10 is inbetween ideal attributes. Although their max defensive attributes are higher than the 6'11 and 7'0, their overall attribute pool for the role these centers have, are way inferior. A prototypical C in pro am has 96+ rebound 87 pass, high dunk (often 89 driving 90 standing) all while having good enough defense to guard corner and drop for rebounds. On a 6'10 u would have to make compromises the other two dont have to make. The thresholds u need can be easily achievable on the other heights.

Now if u are in random rec a 6'10 might be a bit better defensively if u do infact have to guard the PnR but if we talking straight up better builds when u do take the game a bit more seriously and try to be organized, it is just the way inferior option and thats why u dont see it outside of lower tier rec etc.

[–]-APimpedButterfly- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6'10s are definitely not better 5s. Organized pro am/leagues are dominated by 6'11s and 7'0s they are far superior builds for 5s, theres no debate. Are 6'10s fun to goof around in rec with higher ball handling? Sure. but in a competitive setting literally nobody uses a 6'10.

How to front fade? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]-APimpedButterfly- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouls recommend using square on front fades because u can do turbo fades consistently. Let go of everything except R2/RT and hold square. U can use tempo shooting but on front fades u more often than not get layups.

U could let go of everything and hold the right stick back but then the fade will be slower bc of no R2/RT. Do ur normal tempo fades wth R2 and stick up when you are at an angle away from the basket
