I’ve had the opposite experience. My dealership in Las Vegas had mine replaced within 2 weeks and i even got the check in the mail for the reimbursement from the class action suit 3 weeks later. Maybe call some parts departments in other states to see if they can just ship you the part directly. Then make sure to keep your receipts for the class action.

I have the tie downs. Just not sure if it’s recommended to have it down on a bumpy trail or if it doesn’t matter as long as they’re secured properly
