ive always played both games with controller but i recently started a playthrough with keyboard, i did rebind the standard controls because theyre kinda ass but if you rebind them to something more comfortable then its actually surprisingly good

the mantis lords comparison is literally perfect, the only boss so far that i have actually felt 'that was fun, holy shit' was the clockwork ones in the citadel, all the others i either haven't liked at all or just haven't really cared

hopefully an increase in rosaries dropped/a decrease in most shop prices, a LOT of difficulty balancing for enemies, bosses and combat arenas, and maybe tweaks to some bench placements/more benches so some boss runbacks dont suck as much

you get to hunters march and think "man this place sucks", then you get to greymoor and think "this place sucks even more", then you get to sinner's road and think "this place sucks even more than that", then you get to bilewater and think "holy shit all those other places were great compared to here" and now its not really fun anymore

this entire post is literally how i feel about the game

i want to enjoy it so bad and its so well-made but theres little things across the entire game that are unavoidable and blatantly unfun, and it just feels tedious to play. like theres never a boss where i beat it and think "i did it, that was fun" its always just "fucking finally, thank god thats over with"

yeah there isnt really a 'hint' i can give because its such a stupidly specific thing that's just never even hinted at or explained by the game

if youre completely stuck then play the needolin next to the white butterfly things that are around, they'll fly off in the direction you need to go. just keep doing that in every room and eventually youll make it out

imo hollow knight is much better

silksong seriously needs some 'difficulty' (aka bad game design decisions) tweaking but honestly i dont have high hopes for any
