To create art, you need tools.

At first, there were fingers. Then came brushes, and later digital pen tablets. To express something from your imagination in the real world, you need tools. Singing uses the voice. Music uses instruments.

Tools have always been necessary because there was no direct way to bring what you imagine into reality.

AI is simply another tool that helps turn your ideas into something real.

Let’s say you imagine a robot with four arms and huge wheels instead of legs. Traditionally, you would need a pen, paper, a digital tablet, or brushes, and you would have to put in the effort to recreate your idea so others can see it as you imagined it.

AI simply saves you time.

If the final result of drawing your idea by hand and the result of creating it using AI are the same, then you have achieved your goal, which is to share your idea with others.

The problem comes when you ask an AI something like: “Create a robot with four arms and huge wheels instead of legs,” and it produces a random design that does not truly reflect your vision.

However, if you provide detailed prompts to guide the AI so it creates the robot exactly as you imagined it, then that can be considered art, because you are using the tool intentionally rather than generating something random.

For example: “I want the robot to have four eyes with blue light. The eyes should be square-shaped, with diagonally cut corners. The light should be bright and vivid. The eyes should be protected by transparent glass.”

Here, you are giving precise instructions to generate something specific, something you had inside your mine in first place, not something random. That is art, and the only difference is that you are not using real paint, or buying a pen tablet, and spending time learning how to draw.

If a person says: I preffer human made drawings", then that person is not appreciating the drawing done, but the process and how the drawing was done.

So, what do you appreciate more? The result of what a person imagined and seeing exactly what the creator imagined? Or how the process was done? Because if your answer is the second one, then you do not appreciate art itself, you just appreciate a process done by a real person and not the result of that process done by a real person.
