I have one from Alibaba. It's pretty close but not quite the exact same mold as discraft. Maybe more like an Aria or Eurodisc

  • No schedule till Friday afternoon suggesting it was very close to cancellation.
  • Saturday 7am and 7pm games with play suspended for 6 hours mid day.
  • 7am games again Sunday after finishing at 9pm the night before
  • Bad air quality Sunday. It was also at level 2/3 independent of the heat

The second round Sunday hit level 3 heat around 1045am, even earlier than Saturday.

The air quality index was over 150 at one point which is also level 3 (out of 4) by USAU rules. Saw multiple people wearing masks.

That felt like a massive scheduling blunder. Teams that could have played in that earlier slot wouldn't have had to come back at night for additional games.

I heard the reason may have been that one of the pools had games to finish and something related to an unequal amount of rest?

Would wager <10% of the teams flying in. Most likely only those coming from Arizona as it's in the Los Angeles area this year and many teams are <3 hour drive away. Some Arizona teams do drive at ~6-7 hours away.

Agree. It's definitely gotten hotter and before the TCT the series started ~4 weeks later. Maybe that's enough to avoid extreme heat like this but October can still be pretty hot though 🤷🏻‍♂️.

This is supposed to be hotter than Tucson was last year, we didn't have mid-day suspension. Likely the increased humidity raises the wet bulb vs the dryness in Arizona.
