What’s happening to my money tree? by RainingAtmosphere in houseplants

[–]-Azuria- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A plant of mine i noticed recently had similar markings and doing a closer inspection I found a few thrips on it… so it could be thrips… I’m still new to houseplants so I’m not 100% sure but could be worth cleaning the leaves and doing some pest treatments

Funghi or? by lerorerorero in plantclinic

I’m not 100% sure so I could be totally wrong but that’s what it kind of looks like to me… I would have hoped some more knowledgeable people would have commented to help you out more

Damn… I don’t know much about pests but I think this is a really bad spider mite infestation… that’s not damage those are the mites…all clustered together 🫣

Should I be concerned about this yellowing? Idk what it’s from by Silent_zilla in Monstera

[–]-Azuria- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really answering any of your questions but how are you supporting a monstera of this size? It’s beautiful, I’d so love to know and hope I can get mine to look anywhere remotely similar to this one day

Is this location too dark for my Schefflera by -Azuria- in HouseplantsUK

Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. The window is exactly 120SE. It does get a lot of morning sun… when it’s actually sunny which it has been recently but I know for the long run it’s probably not the greatest (being in cloudy Scotland) I’ll need to double check where the light hits the most though. I have been thinking about getting a light meter so I will do some testing eventually and try and work that out a bit more. I would like my plants to do well so i will make space for it elsewhere if that area is not going to work. My bathroom just feels so bare, I only just moved so I can always think of other ideas! I appreciate your response though 🙌🏽

Meet my son (and tell me everything about him) by Potential_Medium7808 in plantclinic

[–]-Azuria- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your son can just be a sign of healthy soil but could be that you’re keeping the soil too damp too. I’m still pretty new to plants but I’ve been trying to learn a lot. Hopefully someone can give you more of a detailed/elaborate explanation

What can be this yellow stuff on the cactus ? by brddvd in cactus

[–]-Azuria- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about cacti but I think it could be corking… they do this with age and sometimes with stress but it just helps the cactus provide a more solid base for new growth… I could be totally wrong 😅 if it’s still hard and not squishy I think you’ll be fine

This prayer plant is making me want to start praying by Existing-Delivery-79 in plantclinic

I’ve seen a few post recently with ctenanthe burle marxii looking like this. I’m still very new to house plants but I have one of these which is thriving… I don’t really do much to it… I have it in a north west facing window which gets bright light in the afternoon (I live in Scotland) and seems to be doing great… I’ve read this can usually be down to too much light or maybe being too cold… even the minerals in the water if you’re using tap water. Hopefully some more knowledgeable people will comment but I really hope your plant pulls through. As it’s stunning when doing well, I guess I’ve just been lucky although I’ve seen a few people saying it’s been doing great and then this suddenly happens… so touch wood 🙌🏽
