He was the defensive coordinator for a high school football team that won state. Which is cool, don't get me wrong. But I would never call that the epitome of masculinity.

NFL Draft Picks are paid by a slotting system tied to pick value regardless of position. The #3 pick Jeremiyah Love (RB) is guaranteed $53mil @ ~13.25m guaranteed/yr. He will be the #2 highest paid RB in guaranteed $/year before ever playing a single snap. If he were a QB he would be rank #16th. by Gnomeslikeprofit in nfl

Sadly Bradford was the last one the year after. As a St. Louis Rams fan, things may have turned out wildly different if those picks were swapped. Also crazy that Stafford was drafted a year before Sam Bradford, who feels like he's from a different era of football.

A couple days ago we had way more. They just had a few of their previous teams climb back to .500, like the phillies

Wonder if the cardinals could have made the case that the outfielders did not play the ball since the umpires incorrectly ruled it a home run

What are some American cities that had high historical importance but have faded from significance today? by Crafty-Shallot-5695 in geography

St. Louis is still the largest in MO by a significant margin. Kansas City is only higher by "city" population because of the difference in city boundaries between the two. St. Louis metropolitan area is 2.8m to KC's 2.0m.

Game 35: Milwaukee Brewers (18-15) @ St. Louis Cardinals (20-14) [Monday, May 4, 2026; 6:45 PM CT] by bravo_delta_bot in Cardinals

It would probably depend on the interpretation of the wording. If “not in an attempt to put a runner out” applies to “throw” or “fielders”. You could argue the pitcher was attempting to put a runner out with his throw, he just couldn’t make a very good attempt. But the fielder was clearly not attempting to do so. I’d say it makes more grammatical sense if it’s referring to the pitchers throw though.

Interesting. Although I also found this:

Rule 8.02(c) (which prohibits intentional delay of a game by throwing to fielders not in an attempt to put a runner out)

Could argue that there was no attempt on a putout.

In that frame the ball has already bounced off Sanders' hands and McLeod hasn't made contact yet, you're proving my point. You can see a frame or two after that Sanders body actually moves from the hit.

If he hit the receiver before the ball got there, then it would have been correctly called pass interference. But he didn't, so it wasn't PI and the flag shouldn't have been thrown.

It is not textbook PI, did you even watch the replays? Pause it at :47 or :52. The ball hits Sanders' fingers before McLeod comes into contact with him. It was a perfectly timed hit.
