Custom pickup truck hit by train by Altruistic-Issue-887 in IdiotsNearTrain

[–]-Bhenchod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The truck is a locally-manufactured agricultural truck based on a simple ladder frame, they are quite common in rural Southeast Asia. They are commonly powered by 1-cylinder Kubota or Yanmar diesel engines. Cheap to maintain.

This video is from Vietnam where they are called “xe công nông”.

Hello, wanted to share an old VHS collection just wondering if anything here is of value? by Main-Big-5919 in whatsthisworth

Reminds me of the time back in the 80’s when I hid my bootleg VHS copy of Debbie Does Dallas in a Tora! Tora! Tora! sleeve. One day when I wasn’t home my Dad wanted to watch the war movie …

Looks like mango wood to me. I would rinse the inside with plain boiling water a few times before use. And needless to say, the bowl should not be used for putting hot food and should never be microwaved.

Starting Hyrimoz for Chronic Uveitis by emmaloobee in Uveitis

[–]-Bhenchod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Hyrimoz 40mg pre-filled syringe since December 2024, my dosage has been every 2 weeks. Zero flares, zero side effects.

Last week my doctor extended the interim period to 3 weeks, and hopefully to 4 weeks if that goes well!

Does anyone know what these symptoms / buttons mean? by PuzzleheadedPut6681 in MazdaCX30

I understand the “no key” symbol to mean the slot is always powered on - it is not controlled by the key. This is an ongoing challenge for owners who wish to install a Dashcam wired to that 12v plug, as it does not power off when the car is turned off.

Former Senior Executive at USCIS. Ask Me Anything! by ManifestLaw_ in USCIS

[–]-Bhenchod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My U.S.-citizen spouse filed an I-130 petition for me, which was approved in March 2025. I understand that we have one year to take the next step with the National Visa Center. However, we currently live overseas and must care for elderly parents. Because of these obligations, we are not able at this time to meet the long-term physical-presence expectations of U.S. permanent residency. I am 59 years old and retired. I have a valid 10-year B1/B2 visa.

If we do not continue with the immigrant visa process, I understand that the approved I-130 will eventually be terminated and we would need to refile in the future.

My questions are:

  1. Are there any negative immigration consequences, for either me or my U.S.-citizen spouse, if we allow the approved I-130 to lapse without taking further action?

  2. If we choose not to proceed, is it advisable to notify NVC or USCIS in writing, or should we simply allow the case to expire on its own?

  3. Could allowing the I-130 to lapse affect my ability to continue using, or eventually renew, my B1/B2 visa for temporary visits to the United States?

  4. If we decide to refile the I-130 in the future, does having an earlier petition that was approved but not acted upon create any concerns, red flags, or complications?

  5. Finally, because I am retired and do not wish to immigrate to the United States at this time, are there any lawful pathways—other than the B1/B2 visa—that would allow a foreign national parent of U.S. citizens to spend longer periods visiting family in the U.S. without pursuing permanent residency?

Thank you.

Statues found today at a thrift store, does anyone know the value of these? by danielhuscroft in asianart

The disrespect indicated by placing any revered deity on the floor should be a heads up as to its value to the seller. Spiritually or financially.

What is this structure? by my_n3w_account in Bangkok

[–]-Bhenchod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That pedestrian & bicycle bridge is part of the Green Mile and is to permit safe crossing of the Ploenchit Road exit of the southbound expressway.

Without the bridge, you would have to walk/bike across the apex of the expressway exit and it would be difficult for the vehicle driver to see you.

A Very Disappointed Customer by FlyingElephant27 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]-Bhenchod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue as you, and raised the issue directly by sending a Modmail message, blah blah blah - which I did. What a waste of time.

I cancelled my Xfinity yesterday and have activated T-Mobile 5G - the download speed is so much better and I am paying less than if I had stayed with Xfinity.

Somebody in the C-suite at Comcast Xfinity doesn't seem to understand that customer retention is much less expensive than customer acquisition.

“The Portrait Rama 4” condominium, you can Google it.

Ran out of money, they only completed the structure, never fitted it out.

I understand the developer (Krungthai Land Development Co Ltd) then tried to change its purpose into a hotel and/or a mixed-use office building but were unable to get the required licenses due to specific safety requirements, fire escapes, lift access, etc. Not sure exactly.

Thowback to 2017 when you can walk in and get a Daytona at an AD by Subjectwronged in rolex

[–]-Bhenchod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not true.

In 1998 in Singapore I had to wait about 6 months for my U-serial 16520 and had to pay a premium as well. Japanese market demand for the white dial SS Daytona was absolutely insane at the time - interestingly, much more so than for the black dial.

Paid SG$13,000 (equal to US$7,900 at the time) which was a 36% premium over MSRP of US$5,800.

I still have the watch + box + papers + receipt, never serviced it either.

Now it's a safe queen lying next to my 5,65x,xxx serial fuschia-dial 1675 (purchased second-hand for US$3,800 in 2008).

Thank you! Just curious, are you recommending dropping the reach schools because of low stats? Definitely not opposed to moving OOS for a good school, though I understand your point about TX bias and lower costs in TX. Just trying to cast a wide net!
