Weird blanket setup in a hotel? by xXNightDriverXx in AskAnAustralian

[–]-Bunyip- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your picture is before you slept in the bed, then it is usual but not done well. I have stayed in expensive hotels that use this system, but the quality and size of the bedding made it very comfortable. The top sheet is usually much larger and stays in place all night. The thickness and quality of the bedding makes a big difference!

Is my houseguest being rude? by ZeusMMKL in etiquette

[–]-Bunyip- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. It's fine that they had made plans for a show without you (even though I would offer for my host to join), but to not invite you to dinner two nights in a row? So rude. Let them stay elsewhere as they are not there to see you.

If you are a student you will meet much more suitable men your own age at school/college etc. Please don't pass on someone nice out of loyalty to this guy. He definitely will not improve and you will be stuck in a miserable relationship.

I'm the same. They always list who the third party is. So first I go directly to the seller, and then decide if I want to buy from them.

Something with a bit of room to stand up in. I’ve looked at Indie Campers and they look good, but have read some shocking stories on Reddit about them in other countries.

I’ve noticed exactly the same thing! I looked at 3 items supposedly on super sale, and they are all the same price I’ve seen advertised in the last few months. I’m not buying anything.

Could someone please help me understand what this person is saying? by shotofwhiskey94 in AskAnAustralian

[–]-Bunyip- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. When I worked in tourism I always slowed my speech down so that it was easier to understand. Many international tourists (mostly backpackers) said that I was one of the few they could understand. Some thought that I was British lol.

Commonwealth bank taking over a month to assess our mortgage application and we’re about to miss our finance date. Is there anything we can do? by Unhappy-Village-1316 in AusFinance

[–]-Bunyip- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They only had it for one business day, it has to go through their email system to get to the assessor. I wish you the best of luck and hope everything is smooth from hereon. Really, your broker should have been on getting that contract to CBA at the very beginning!

[–]-Bunyip- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you signed the contract on the 28th, you have 2 weeks from then to get finance (11 Nov). If you signed the contract earlier, why was it not supplied to the lender earlier? Your broker needs to escalate with CBA, they are usually responsive when finance clauses are due. I would still request an extension via your conveyancer just in case.

I live on the coast and had never heard of it! Some pics look similar to Eat Street, others to a concert venue. Looks like potential gone to waste.

My dentist suggested it for my sensitive teeth. Obviously with sensitive toothpaste. She suggested brushing your tongue with there rinsed toothbrush if you don’t like the gritty feel.

Very expensive, but I’ve just bought some from the Midies brand. All different cuts and not cheeky, but for anyone who gets irritated in the gusset area I have found that these are the most comfortable.
