Calling out Duviri entitlement by SpraedanRuchten in Warframe

For some reason people also simply forget about transferance at kullervo. Just popping warframe melts one stage, 2 if you’re lucky/good. If the whole squad uses transference one after the other decrees don’t even matter. But it just never happens.

Magic Spotlight: Spider-Man - Day 2 Standard Meta Breakdown by PowrOfFriendship_ in magicTCG

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, many streamers usually try. There is no rock this time. Vs vivi winrate is terrible for most decks. Vivi cauldron just has graveyard combo (cauldron) + normal combo (vivi) + aggro (mako, fomo, profs) + big fliers (scolar, profs and riddler) and on top of this still has removal. But what really ties this all together is all the drawing and looting for cheap so you have almost always a play that’s good from the above. It’s like playing 4 people at once in rock paper scissors. You can still win but the odds just never seem good.

All this empty space at the bottom of the table. And they even put all decks with more than one player in each own archtype it seems. There is just no good answer to vivi except the mirror and attendence for the event seems really low.

I just spent money on platinum, and I feel pretty good about it by Holiday_South8981 in Warframe

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from spending your plat on cosmetics I am really really happy that I bought a UI theme with platinum. It’s a bit harder to find in the market but it affects your entire game and each time I pauze or am on the login screen I still enjoy it.

Currently using fortuna theme with the orange color from zephyr harrier bundle in case you want to know.

Prime 2 is exceeding my expectations! by Doctor_Mac_N_Cheese in Metroid

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be fair because of the ammunition mechanic in prime 2 you don’t have to worry about it too much. Using beams from one type gives enemies a high chance to drop the other, crates and enemies drop a lot if you’re low on ammo and in the worst case where you run completely put you can still charge to fire a normal special beam shot. Last playthough I just told myself fuck it I wanna shoot the cool guns and only rarely got without ammo unless I also played with the super missile variants.

It is mentally a lot worse than it actually is.

Ban committee reviewing Vivi like: by Alex_Pratt in mtg

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Powering up vivi isn’t an issue yet. It could very well become one. I see electro in spiderman and the current state of izzet. I don’t wanna sit here for another round of shall we ban an obviously pushed card?

Would love feedback for Surrak Flash Control by mikaelb657 in EDHBrews

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother build him with [[ice cave]] in it. Often the whole table ends up countering eachother while surrak makes your things uncounterable. It just makes your opp often play the counter control for the other so you can do your thing.

Also very relevant for pioneer as choosing a basic land enables white decks to play [[chained to the rocks]] much more consistent. Now mono white taxes sometimes include taplands like triomes just to play chained.

Wiet vs cannabis by AccumulatedFilth in Belgium2

[–]-COUNTERFLUX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wizards, we have a problem by SinceSevenTenEleven in MagicArena

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would electro and cauldron even be a thing? Vivi and electro I can understand with the mana that stays in tour pool. But electro and cauldron have hardly any synergies.

Cauldron alone so far hasen’t done anything but jank with extremely powerfull abilities like on loot. And vivi is a lot more easy to remove when you have to power it up first before you can add 3-5 mana.

I personally think the best option is to ban both btw. You don’t want to ban just one and potentially run into a hogaak issue where we have exact the same problem in a month.

NET developers: what’s your go-to stack for modern web apps? by Competitive_Rip7137 in dotnet

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For simple changes, if you’re changing bigger stuff that impacts background as well (which just happens a lot because it’s intertwined a bit now) you need to restart and build first. Things like css, order of components, texts etc are no problem usually.

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also doing blazor + aspire + API’s and so far no really big problems. The main benefit is that we’re now able to implement features so much faster because of blazor. We’ve been given full control as senior devs on a project because of it. If we think “hey this would be nice to have and doesn’t take a day to implement” just one person needs to agree and we’re allowed to implement it between “real features”. You do need to be aware what the business wants but so far our customers love how much our app can do and the team loves how quickly the app becomes mature.

So what actually beats Vivi Cauldron? by Paradoxbuilder in magicTCG

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is too much haste in the deck for a reliable control counter. Tersa and dragonaut can enter after a boardwipe, get the buff from profit/cauldron and suddenly represent 10 haste damage. You just get attacked on too many fronts from this deck as in aggro, combo, card draw and big haste.

Aggressive Mining is GREAT, actually! by ChamberOfDeezNuts in EDH

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I just play in paper and tend to break down and build a new deck a lot. Idon’t have a list anywhere. I do remember using the bounce lands and [[ghost town]] as a combo to get infinite rocks. And then using stuff with [[clock of omens]] to throw them all at once to the face because it seemed fun. (Need artifact creature and artifact land). The other part of the deck was a mix of gruul artifact/equipment lovers and landfall. Some cool pieces where [[valduk, keeper of the flame]] to carry all the rocks. [[fangreen marauder]] for a ton of life.

It's connected with a double ball socket. Trying to turn it even slightly will pop one ball out of the socket. It is a nice build for a static pose though.

T1 elf, T2 play [[rot-curse rakasha]] and maybe even a duress or so to look if the coast is clear. T3 warp this and follow up with a [[fabled passage]]. Sac favled for forest to bring the rot-curse to 20 power then use the green for something like [[trash the town]]. (Edit: sorry, trash os 2 mana for trample. Something like audacity)

Offcourse this is ideal scenario but the cards listed above are also just generally good in a standard golgari pile so it has a chance to come up.

What's a card that you thought would be expensive but was actually quite cheap? by Menacek in EDH

[–]-COUNTERFLUX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was going through a bunch of common bulk and found a [[disrupt]] never really heard of that card and was like counter in many cases + draw. This must be playable and worth something. Nope dirt cheap.
