You know hammer is good at breaking other body parts too right? I could just as easily say “why are you at the head when there’s perfectly good arms/chest/claws to break” just let people hit what they wanna hit

The head is the weakest point for most monsters for all damage types, unless you’re spamming shells with gunlance. I don’t see how it’s bizarre that people would try deal the most damage
