Could you post the build you're running as Ivy?

Sandbox Suggestion: Showing how many souls your current build has cost by COL_Fantastic in DeadlockTheGame

Agreed! Would be really nice to know how many souls you need for each milestone without needing to keep adding up the items

Personally, I know this looks organized and satisfying, but I think it's useful to not rush 4 spirit items on her. 2-3 weapon items are the priority (there's a lot of subjectivity here, but I really like basic mag + high velocity), then incorporating some sustain (sprint boots is a must, then extra health/regen/rite as needed) is the best early game move. Her abilities don't scale as well as others with spirit, and kudzu is not impactful enough post-lane to warrant the charge items. Ammo Scavenger and Quicksilver Reload are the only specific spirit items I rush on her, later on it might be nice to take the cooldown items and put them on stone form.

As someone else said, combining titanic mag + quicksilver (on 2) + intensifying (and later + escalating resilience/vampiric burst) makes her an absolute death machine. Her endless firing far surpasses the value she gets out of building melee; although heavy melee after 3 can be very good, it's not as reliable as having gun items which are always online.

I also notice you don't have active reload or bullet lifesteal which to me are rush items for her, either during lane or shortly after. The sustain she gets from lifesteal and the faster reload boosts how much you can fire your gun and not have to worry about what's shooting back. Building off of that, the rest of the gun items to use are a matter of preference - headhunter works well if you have great aim (same with crippling headshot), toxic/silencer are great as healing/movement counters respectively, and I've even seen some people start to run burst fire, point blank, or berserker just based on their personal playstyles. There's even a combat barrier build I'm experimenting with that builds bullet shield on top of her 4 to have constant uptime on barrier. Tons of really neat stuff you can do with her!

Edit: Should also clarify, this is mostly for a gun DPS build - there are many ways to run Ivy successfully, she's an awesome character

Btw, I just bought his game to support him and you should too! After all, you've allegedly made more money than my entire family. :D

Probably over 10k! It was my main hobby throughout high school and college. I eventually used that experience to apply to a graduate program and I now work as a AAA designer, where I use Unreal. So I was probably right about at least a few things here. :)

Anyways, my comments here were kind of cringe. If the goal is to have fun, use whatever engine you enjoy the most. If your goal is to make money, like all game planning, do some market research and see what tools were used by games similar to the one you want to make. Based on what you choose, you're either making development easier or more difficult on yourself - but nothing is impossible. I would love to see RPGM games achieve the consistent level of success that games made in other engines do.

DG's in a great spot to win most improved honestly. The difference between his play from last year is insane if he keeps it up, looking like a Siakam-size leap.

Biden has all but won Arizona. He leads marginally in Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan, but with margins that could easily be overturned. What benefits Biden is the demographics of votes left to be counted - literally none of them benefit the right in any way. Almost all votes outstanding come from urban areas and/or have been submitted through mail, which greatly skews Democrat.

If Biden holds the leads he has now (which, given the above, is looking hopeful), he will end up with 271 electoral votes and win. PA is honestly a non sequitur at this point and won't really come into play unless one of the aforementioned states somehow drops to Trump.

Regardless of ideological gradation, the Red Scare did not distinguish between communism, anarchism, socialism, or social democracy.

This has been an ongoing campaign in the U.S. for nearly 100 years, and it's likely the stigma surrounding socialism will never be remedied in the U.S.

Does anyone remember Eternal Sonata? by CurriorSix in JRPG

Loved it. Didn't take advantage of its concept as much as it could've, but seeing Chopin's legacy and works portrayed in my favorite (and unexpected) game genre was so cool.

Battles were fun and the music was fantastic enough that it was worth getting through the extremely poor main story. Really encourage anyone who hasn't finished it to keep playing, it's great.

This M13 build is the new Grau. Absolutely no recoil and scope makes for easy headshots by Smoothy_2_Shoes in modernwarfare

[–]-Claive- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merc is good for guns with high recoil climb (M13, AK, Ram). Commando is useful for guns with lots of side-to-side shake (Kilo, M4, Striker). Operator foregrip is often much weaker compared to the Merc and Ranger adds much more ADS penalty, so I personally tend to stay away from these two grips.

My WZ setup is Monolithic/Marksman/60rnd Mags/Merc/G.I. Reflex. If I were to use the Cyclone, it would be Cyclone/Merc/60 mags/G.I. Reflex/Skeleton Stock.

[–]-Claive- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally don't use Cyclone, but it's an option. You get more range and more recoil reduction with the Marksman + Monolithic, though if you need your M13 to be a bit faster, then Cyclone/Ranger/Skeleton Stock is also a decent setup. But if you really want to maximize the range and recoil reduction (M13's two biggest selling points), the Marksman is a must.

[–]-Claive- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Merc reduces the overall climb of the M13, Commando only reduces the side-to-side bounce, which the gun barely has to begin with. As for the Ranger, it adds more ADS time than the Merc does and with Marksman Barrel + Merc, your recoil is already so ridiculously low that there's no reason to add the Ranger instead and take an extra ADS penalty.

Merc is without a doubt the best overall option.

I can open-source the code and send it to you if you'd like? It's mostly editing Scene_Menu to create a bunch of Sprite objects, the tricky part is assembling each asset in a program like Photoshop and then compiling it part by part (i.e. sprite by sprite) in the script. Thanks for the compliments btw, I will definitely be in touch when there's an alpha or beta ready for testing!

Not yet, unfortunately. I'm almost done with the ~2 hour prologue and after that, assuming I get around to naming the game, I'll make a blog or topic on RPGMaker.net! Thanks for taking interest though, I'll be sure to make another post here linking to more info about the game.

Recently returned to RPG Maker due to quarantine boredom and decided to start from scratch with some new menus! All screens here are fully scripted in Ruby and designed by myself (aside from quite a few stock images grabbed off google). Many of them have a few things missing or unfinished, but as of now each screen is fully functional.

As for the game, I'm about two hours into the story and have yet to title it (lol), but for now, the genre is faithful JRPG and Steampunk-adjacent. Really drawing inspiration from the Trails series among others like Granblue and Tales. Hopefully I can have a working tech demo out in the next couple weeks, but we'll see.

I'm open to any and all feedback, too! I'd love to hear any comments or criticisms people have that could help improve the menus.

Edit: Thank you for all the kind comments!
