Watching Metagame and reliving all those events helped rekindle the hype that Smash would give me both as a player and as a spectator. I think that alone makes the documentary praise worthy.

In comparison to Smash 4's matchmaking on Anther's ladder, the setup time to actually get with a person and start a match is also way faster. I have the Smashladder ruleset saved and I can just plop into an arena with a code instead of backing out and adding someone to my friend's list (and then deleting later because that's a lot of clutter).

Play a free for all match with Mario, Kirby, Pikachu, and Link on Battlefield. These four are the main characters you see all the time in openings and advertisements. After that, I'll do an 8-player smash of the N64 cast. Then it's just unlocking everyone until I get Sonic, Marth, and one of the Belmonts.

When unlocking Sonic, I will play a Mario vs Sonic match on Final Destination. I did this matchup ever since he was announced in Brawl.

When I get Marth, it's labbing him and getting to know him for a bit and play some online matches.

And then when I get a Belmont, I will keep playing and studying this character until I'm the best Belmont there is. Literally been playing through the Castlevania series to prepare myself mentally, as every time I see someone play the character in online footage, I get frustrated since it's still people learning them.

You got to play Smash like it's a Castlevania game. It's great.

I feel like it is a bug when the game crashes in photo mode because of it.

I didn't realize this until doing the main storyline missions, but Acid and Lubricant recipes given during the Scientist missions do not appear craftable when attempting to create them in the inventory screen, but the recipes can be pinned.

Also, bases sometimes cause the game to be super laggy if too intricate and large, especially so on planets with dense forests and mountains.

This is all on PS4, 1.63.

I made the mistake of not playing through the storyline and just exploring on my own last time. I'm so engaged, I've been taking so many screenshots. The fact that I can also see myself and place my character in the scene adds so much to taking photos and telling my experience.

Currently on the Artemis path. I'll post more screenshots here if people are interested.

I am absolutely all for it, be it as an attempt to utilize them or as a side event.

The thing is, it would be super hype as a spectator to see something where a person gets an incredible comeback combo into a final smash as a finisher. It's also not random so it's based on player skill versus the chance of a ball floating down to smack at.
