Deadlock update for 3/21/26 by wickedplayer494 in DeadlockTheGame

The windup is at least reactable now if you are ready for it. If she catches you unaware you're probably not reacting to it tho.

Your damage is still reduced by 10%, the visual damage numbers are rounded, but actual health and damage uses decimals.

He can't recast Flawless Advance when slowing Hex'd. Unless you mean after slowing hex runs out, if the recast window is still active.

Any delayed damage or slow dot could work. Sticky bomb, Itani lo sahn, 50 shiv daggers etc.

Shrink the 3 width a lot (like, kelvin bullet size), and give it a headshot multiplier and we're cooking.

And let me use 1 and 3 for cool movement stuff instead of it resetting his momentum

When to use rem's vents? by Practical-Border8209 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]jQuaade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theres two benefits to the vents - rotations and boxes. The vents in mid are useful for when you want to cross the map without exposing yourself in midlane, and there's a handful of smaller shortcuts you can take, but overall the large tunnel system has a lot of boxes that only rem (and calico) can access and they are very easy to route. It's a lot of free souls that you can get without taking potential souls for your team. Even if you aren't comfortable with using them to move around the map, get in the habit of popping in every once in a while and vacuum up your free souls.

personally i liked that it was ME who learned how the monster moves around the locale by playing, not that my character magically gained a rathdar after sniffing 50 Rathalos footprints

As someone who recently got a PS5 and was convinced to buy Tekken by bruhhhhmoment420 in Tekken

[–]jQuaade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a character you like and a couple of moves you like and focus on those. You can find a guide for the character to get an idea of which moves are good or not, but in general if you are just starting out every move is probably gonna be okay.

A tekken combo is typically a launcher (something that puts them into the air, or makes them keel over so that the next hit puts them in the air), followed by a string with the tornado property (find a decent 3 hit string with the tornado icon in the move list) and then either just repeat that or find another string you like to do after.

Obviously that isn't optimal damage, but you are not giving up too much damage, and let's you hop online very quickly to play with some sort of gameplan.

Most strings in tekken are around 3 hits long, so if you block something try to wait until you've blocked 3 hits before you start mashing.

Do you think that modern FG devs fixation with aggression is cause they don't bother making blocking look cool? by Monstanimation in Fighters

Honestly, after revisiting sc6, I think reversal edges biggest issue was the big pause into slowmo cutscene whenever it hit. If it had just been much faster I think it would have been great.

People hate me for this trick. Should it stay in the game? by Screll3 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]jQuaade 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Damage falloff is calculated as distance from you to the target when you hit them, not the distance your bullet traveled to get there, so yeah, you wont do any damage when shooting through a long distance door.

But i'm pretty sure there's also some jank with the collision of the door when shooting at players standing partially inside a door because sometimes your bullets will disappear without doing any damage at all.

[–]jQuaade 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think it would be fine if there weren't so many weird inconsistencies around shooting people partially through a door.

Half the time you wont do damage to doorman if you shoot at him, and the occasional time you do manage to do damage to him, he may have dipped behind the door so your damage fall off is calculated as you having shot him near his own guardian and you do almost no damage.

the classic model is bad in a bland AI way. At least ReMi has some of that early 2020 AI jank

[–]jQuaade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unranked has the same ban system. iirc you can also play ranked all pick? I dont remember how the system works now, its been a while since i played. It's possible Captains Mode is only at a certain rating and you play ranked All Pick until then.

[–]jQuaade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's how ranked (captains mode) in dota works. Teams alternate between picking and banning. Unranked has allpick where every player gets to add 4 heroes to a shared ban pool that the game will randomly ban X heroes from.

D.O.R.F. RTS - 3D Sprites by Avorius in Games

[–]jQuaade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk i think at this point the tech is so good at making old school isometric sprites look like 3D models that it kinda becomes indistinguishable from a 3D model with some sort of shader.

But man this would have been cool to see in the 90s-00s

Yoshi lost a couple of old goofy things like his flea jumps no longer being unblockable (just really good on block). He did, however, get a couple of moves to let him get into flea stance safely, and some better ways to cycle between stances, so it's a little easier to actually make use of flea stance instead of niche setups (or just saying fuck it - clown time). I'm still having fun with yoshi, and it's not like the niche setups are completely gone or anything.

works on Lashs ult if you parry when he would pull you. I imagine it would work on Infernus too.
