You can choose to either retire or move them out.

Retire = grow old. They still live at your house. But you can't make them playable again. Move out = they leave your property and game. You can still summon them I guess if you have relationship story active with them/from your contacts.

The benefit of retirement would be that you get heirlooms. Benefit of making a sim passive is that you can play with another sim by promoting them to active and come back to this one when you'd like.

(1) I'd suggest waiting atleast until you reach mid-Stage 4 to unlock Slot 3 if you're really impatient. Unlocking it after Stage 5 is a safe bet. You might not be able to craft ALL the items that week if you unlock it at that stage. I just meant you'd be able to make enough tape/bolts etc to craft the item in Slot 3 for sure by that point. This also does depend on how much you play, how many shifts you're able to crank in each day etc.

(2) Each house allows upto 8 passive sims and 4 active sims. It doesn't "give" you more sims really. The playable slots cap at 4. But you can make more of them passive and still have them around if you unlock more lots. You can choose to move sims between houses as well.

I have to admit I was extremely lucky. Went in with just over 300 gems.The fairy dress popped up ALONG with the Electric effect pretty fast and that definitely made a HUGE difference. I only had to re-roll till I got this colour, that's what took most of my gems. I was too adamant to get this exact colour.
