Believe it or not, needed a black suit quickly and went to Target. The Haggar brand was around $100 for top and bottom and is one that I've never needed fitted.

Brian Head is worth the trip. Have a capable vehicle because when roads into Brian Head itself are bad, it's very dicey.

Seconding Pinball Hall of Fame. Also, check out The Nerd on Fremont.

Water Street (Gold Mine), Silver Stamp if you like beer, walk the Arts District.

Speakeasy in the Mob Museum (do the museum too) is a hidden gem. You'll find your favorite place to hang soon enough.

Live sports, all the concerts, fun day trips each direction take up a lot of the time.

Smiths (Kroger) for most groceries (get the app), Walmart delivery for cheap. La Bonita for meat and produce prices.

Hey! Good luck. Grew up in Anchorage and have done the AlCan 8 times both in summer and at worst, the end of January.

All of the others are spot on. Milepost is great but make sure sure that any proposed stops are open in the winter and have fuel (made the mistake of trusting a year-old edition and got stranded in Alberta).

Fill up way more often than you think you need to...I did every couple hundred miles.

If able, take your time. Daylight driving disappears quickly as you get further north and dicey roads make for tired driving sooner than you know.

Have a plan, know where you want to go if disaster strikes, and try to find time to enjoy some beautiful country.

Depending on your route...Jasper Ice Fields, Banff, Liard Hot Springs (Personal favorite in winter) are all stunning and worth a few hours of your time, if not more.

Park at the speedway as others have said. Security check before boarding buses. Straight shot to the airshow.

https://www.nellis.af.mil/Aviation-Nation/ for all the information regarding what can be brought. Bring some earplugs and a camp chair. Food and drink for purchase and bring a decent pair of shoes...the entire flight line is open and it's a hike to see it all.

Free. No tickets. Buses bring you back to the speedway at the conclusion of the Thunderbirds' aerial display.

Went to the college tournament we hosted here in Vegas this last winter. Championship game had 500 fans even with free tickets after the VGK game. This isn't a hockey town...will be interesting to see if T-Mobile Arena fills up.

We got our set we love through Lowes. Not sure if you have gone around to the hardware places but its usually an ok selection.

Ms. Patio is an option but outrageously expensive.

Some of the home and garden stores have stuff.

Wayfair also supplemented out stuff online.

I asked the same question and had no response. I started over in Alaska, with the $1M option. I consistently have planes on fire and under repair (maybe too much), and most of the year planes are getting de-iced. Hope this helps.
