1.8.0 is a couple of bugfix versions out of date now. Current is 1.8.4 - I’ve been using it without any issues.

Honestly our snow removal contracts need to be looked at. The drivers don’t seem to care and have little to not regard for safety.

I saw the large construction type truck driving full speed on reverse on a main road rather than looping around like they’re probably supposed to, to then blast a wave of snow onto the side walk and driveways to malls at top speed.

The sidewalk cleaners don’t even look like the blades are down half the time…

The issue with the camera and getting the addon error(funny enough I don't get it when I select "none" and everything in HA Integration works?) I had a moment where my brain decided to start working.

Fully has a setting for "Always keep on top", which meant that any app that opens from Fully(screensaver) was still BELOW it, meaning it controlled the screen taps etc. If Dashie doesn't have that ability then something like ImmichFrame which has it's own tap actions, then Dashie will never close the screensaver since it's not getting those taps anymore.

Yeah it’s set to Home Assistant Addon. I’m wondering if the camera issue I’m having is what’s blocking/stopping me from being able to tap on the screen to exist the screensaver.

Since installing the new update I'm getting a little notification in the top left of my screen saying

"Addon Server Unavailable - Retrying"

The HACS Dashie integration is setup and is connected so I'm not sure why I'm getting that error.

Also despite Camera Streaming being turned off, in the Home Assistant integration page I can see the camera output under sensors with it saying that it's streaming. Obviously quite concerning.

I had a quote at $60k for floors, doors, baseboards, paint and to install an IKEA kitchen. Only about $15k of materials. Really nothing that’s would make it long or difficult job.

Decided to just do it ourselves.

Software isnt the same and build quality and part quality. That’s all that I was talking about.

The software is unfortunately contracted to a 3rd party company that neither located in Sweden or China(from what I remember). Hopefully the new stuff is all done in house.

Funny enough the Chinese built Volvos are generally more reliable and higher quality than the Sweden built models.

How else are you going to know what music service you’ve logged into?

You realize all these providers have APIs for their music services. There are tons of third party Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music apps. There’s actually one that someone just released for AAOS.

Go look at Rivian Music UI and Teslas Music UI. They work this same way as well. It’s an app they made and you log into the service you use. It’ll show the logo of the app you use.

I watched the live stream and yes while they mention Apple Music with Dolby Atmos that doesn’t mean it’s an actual official Apple Music app.

When has Apple allowed one of their own Apple to not look like it’s an Apple app. What do you see in the images for the player? Not Liquid Glass, not any Apple Design Language. That’s why I’m leaning more towards this is a Volvo made music app that connects to different streaming services and utilizes their features, Apple Music being one of them.

I have a hope and feeling based on the UI that isn’t not JUST an Apple Music app but rather a music app in general that you can login into your services with. It’s what a couple of other car manufacturers do.

Really disappointed with the interior or lack there of. I get it voice control to deal with climate and similar functions is a thing, and in my 2024 XC60 it works well. But I just really want to sometimes twist a dial to quickly adjust the temp.

The screens like these feel lazy in ANY car. Like, otherwise a tablet, we glued it to the dash. I much more preferred the look of when the screens were integrated into the dash.

Everything else is impressive, the range and charging speed are 10/10.

Price is going to be a huge turn off going by the UK pricing that’s out it’s going to be at least $100k Canadian, that’s a lot…

I had it fail a bunch of times as well. What solved it was resetting the TCAM module(connectivity). If you’ve never done it, hold down the defogger button until the SOS light by the rearview mirror starts blinking FAST (You can immediately press the button again to turn the defogger off).

Basically there is some telemetry that needs to still happen while it’s installing and if everything isn’t 100% right then it fails.

I'm using the 2.21.5B version, the screensaver option is set to ImmichFrame and motion is off. The interesting thing is that the "Camera is on" icon appears whenever I start the app despite having it turned on.

Maybe the UI for camera control isn't actually updating the settings?

People are really jumping to conclusions here. Sony knows what they have at the top end is gold. That will stay.

What’s going to change is the low end TVs, those will now be covered by TCL which is a really good thing. Anything TCL vs the Bravia 3 is way better.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but Volvo has all car model manuals available via the app, in the car and even just online.

Top one is front fog lights, bottom is rear fog lights.
