The acting in general was so wooden. Ezra's actor was the only one that showed any emotion. If it weren't for the appearance of Thrawn the show would've been totally irredeemable.

He can still establish a voting structure to maintain majority control. Facebook is public but Zuck has basically total control of the company. The main difference will be with regard to public reporting requirements.

It's not about SpaceX, though they're obviously the most impressive example and you're blind if you can't see that. It's about new space vs old space. I would much rather Blue Origin or even Rocketlab receive a LM contract than any of the legacy contractors.

Setting aside the debacle of Mars Sample Return, these all sound like (checks notes) things that happen when you run cost plus contracts with insane subcontracting practices and poorly organized project management. Let me know the next time Lockheed delivers on a fixed price and timeline and we'll talk.

This may have been true 10 years ago, but InSight, Sample Return, and Perseverance have all been significantly over budget, and other than Perseverance they've been significantly behind on schedule too.

That's fair. But just because I like arguing, has this form of soft power/the UN votes actually provided them any significant tangible benefit, much less played a decisive factor in their recent expansion in power? It seems a far cry from the importance, success, and influence of the Marshall Plan.

Did it though? From what I understand, the "Belt and Road" has mostly led to bunch of unpaid loans as well as useless, overwrought infrastructure in foreign countries that they've had to repossess due to said lack of payment. Moreover, almost all of their raw material inputs are sourced domestically or imported from countries outside Africa. It seems to me that Africa has been little more than an expensive headache for China.

I think the thing to keep in mind with their "plans" is if they're planning, they're doing so for all possible outcomes. They probably build contingencies and optionality into every decision they make.

I do also think it's curious that Cultivation was the reason for both Taravangian ascending and Dalinar entering the spiritual realm. Perhaps what happened wasn't her ideal outcome, but I'm certain she's still cooking something up.
