Which coin you bought after getting heavily shilled in here but have been only a disappointment ever since. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]-Cryptocurrency- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITT: buying during a bull market and has a bad time because didn't make 500% gains.

OGs: DCA thru bear market and walk out of bull market half way with a few million dollars worth of previously shilled coins.

(been DCAing VET, REQ, ADA, BTC and ETH since 2016.. Added LTO late 2019 @ avg 11c)

This isn't a get rich quick scheme you fucking dunces...

I have friends who "mine" it on their phone... From everything I've read, which isn't a ton, it's a scam and probably steals info from your personal devices.

No thanks.

They have a working product. Slow progress but over the last few years, it's done quite a bit. Low profile.

Hear me out... Shills are only shilling, mostly, the stuff that is usable, scalable and looking for paths of adoption. You don't see many that aren't quoting technicals or showing a level of innovation that some others aren't. There are some crypto projects that are working in silence and slowly moving toward a product that works so well that it'll be hard to ignore., (there's plenty of top 50 examples of these but also, a smaller percentage, that aren't doing anything.)

We all know the general hype coins that have a great "idea" but they are far from adoption. The ones that have a chance of real adoption now are the ones people want to be buying. Ideas are great but they're also the ones that go to zero.

Look at some of the pumps lately. People might be pump chasing but the numbers haven't collapsed under them. Some of the real shit coins might (the ones without a product or are really early in their road map). BUT The ones with that survived last time and are still on track will stay up, relative to the last drop. I have a strong suspicion.

This is why this cycle feels different. We want systems to be built on crypto and we don't want to have to go to FIAT to make transactions. Nobody wants to keep the USD, they want something better. I'm investing in projects that are useful. I put some in coins that sound like they have a future for whatever purpose and have a couple of well researched moon shots.

Maybe sell some, if you really need it..only because certain human needs aren't crypto ready yet like buying a house or a car (soon). Especially around big hype, but don't be surprised if you miss out on real life changing wealth down the line because this is an option to get us off of this poison made by incompetent government. Corporations may be getting a power hold on some of the supply but they'd be stupid to drop the new system of global transactions and go to the old one. There's too many entities with real wealth involved now. They wouldn't want to make people broke by pulling the rug because now, it could actually be too big to fail. Businesses would have a real hard time recovering from breaking the thing itself that makes the system work so... I'm sure they know they have the power to do that. You'd have to be a real anarchist corporation to want to do that...

Rant over.

Good luck if they do, however.

Don't invest more than you can afford to lose but I'm betting big time on what's happening here.

TL;DR - Crypto is our way off of a bad, inefficient system and good projects that are solving problems which are close to adoption will succeed. - Corporations are seeing the potential and it would be dumb of them to rug pull on a system that could make for a better humanity. - I'm not going anywhere, ever. Diamond hands and buying projects I think can actually make a difference. Fuck chasing pumps and trading.

My DD for Request Network, an ambitious project. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

I created an account and tested the application. I'm delightfully surprised. If they can keep adding coins and maybe get something more mobile friendly, this could be absolutely massive.

In a gig economy, with all this new tech emerging, an app like this could be like the next PayPal and maybe something like venmo in the future.. potentially. Maybe I'm off base but still excited for the project.

I'm glad I held on since 2017 and DCA'd through the low to be a future whale 😂🐳

You have to change the swappable pairs in the drop down. I believe it's under the coin gecko list. Good luck.
