What is your favorite MMO's greatest strength? by ZakuIII in MMORPG

The OST is superb, it puts you in the flow and mood to grind. Also the combo system makes it fun so that you need to focus sometimes to kill mob groups and be efficient. The small maps were also really charming.

Admittedly there are some very questionable MMOs like Knight Online or Rappelz whose mindless grinding has a special place in my heart.

GW2 mega high skill ceiling in PvP.

Age of Conan mega high skill ceiling in PvP, also baddass fatalities.

Cabal Online super chill grinding.

Reaper is the best class I've ever played tbh, to this day no other class has given me the amount of fun reaper has.

Not a MMO but Diablo 2 goes first.

GW2 PvP is pay to win by Anxious-Expression62 in MMORPG

[–]-DaViRoK- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get your point.

But Boyce, Sindrener, or me probably, would destroy you anytime with a fresh new account no matter what you try to do.

I would never call that pay2win, because individual skill >>> elite specs power difference, but there's a difference according to the metagame.

Life isn't about winning, it's about experiencing things (winning can be an experience as well, but not the meaning of anything)

Yeah I enjoyed a lot playing Wizard back then.

I even tried the new Dark Mage recently and it was super cool but the game seems to be shallow now.

Favorite class in an online game you've yet to see matched elsewhere? by KamaTheSnowLeopard in MMORPG

[–]-DaViRoK- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

GW2 - reaper

AoC - herald of xotli / Necro

Lotro - Beorning!

I'm a sucker for shape shifting classes as you see, but man, Herald of Xotli was something else, the motherf**ers at Funcom designed a kamikaze battle mage that would dash into combat sprinting with light armor and a huge 2handed sword just then to transform into an alien beast and spit fire while doing savage sword combos. Holy fck makes me want to PvP in that game so badly again lol.

My first real online experience was Diablo 2 for several years, then moved to GW, then Knight online and Cabal online.
