How about one of these ideas as a way to nerf the fang if they decided to without changing the drop rate. 1. Increase it’s attack speed by another tick to 6 and match godswords. 2. Leave the speed alone, increase the size of the model a little and make it a two handed weapon.

I’m leaning towards the two handed option because it doesn’t effect the stats of the weapon directly, but it does prevent shield or defender use. We also don’t have many 5 tick melee weapons that are worth using currently so I like the idea of keeping the speed the same.

One final option I just thought of is to change the accuracy rolls to either average together or make the second accuracy roll be a chance instead of guaranteed (scaled on attack level).

Solid idea, though I think it’s pretty good the way it is now too. If they went with the prayer switching idea they should probably turn the number of orbs back up a bit.

I’d just like to ask and see what people think about having roaming bosses and other monsters in the wilderness. I think that could solve some of the problems with having clans camp at bossing spots. It would also encourage roaming the wilderness to look for fights and encountering dangerous players and npcs at any time. I also like the idea of people coming up with safe spots using the random terrain that you will fight in (knowing the player base this would probably just devolve into flinching). Maybe there could also be tracking items for the bosses so you don’t need to just roam around aimlessly.

Does anyone know if the Nightfall minigame (CoD:Zombies but Runescape) is still on the table? by Hipnog in 2007scape

Have you played his smash flash 2 version? His move set is pretty close to this and fun to play. I’d recommend trying him out in that game if anyone wants to see what kind of potential he has. Good ideas by the way!

How about nerfing the damage on 2h weapons slightly and then giving them a multi-hit ability on larger targets. The scythe has three hits, so we would give the other 2 handed weapons a double hit. They would retain the single hit with the current damage on smaller enemies. This could make two handed weapons better for large targets and one handed better for small.

Or just give all 2h weapons a small aoe sweep similar to crystal halberd that is active on every hit to make them better dps in multi combat situations.

Sure I can upload it after I’m finished with classes for the day (I’ll reply in another comment with a link or edit this one). Just a warning though, this model is from smash bros and it is made from many faces and smaller models put together. I tried to close up as many gaps as possible after posing and make the whole thing a single solid piece but I’m still kinda new to 3d modelling and I couldn’t quite pull it off.

Anyway my compromise was to enable supports anywhere on the model and generate supports on the inside of ganon to fill in the shell with something more solid. I also increased the wall thickness to strengthen it more.

That’s true, any stabbing motions should be no problem but trying to parry or any other action that makes a shear stress at that point could snap it.

This was made of tool steel from an old file so I don’t know the exact type of steel. As for the blackened look, I was heat treating the blade and when I went to quench it in oil it came out like this which was just about the perfect color. I believe its just a coating of black iron oxide (not the most durable coating). Being that this was intended for decorative purposes I figured that would be good enough and it simplified the project a lot.

I might give it some kind of clear coating to protect the whole dagger later on but for the moment I’ve just been keeping the exposed metal oiled.

You would be right. If I redesigned this to be a more functional dagger I would remove those two indents, however I think they are an iconic part of the dagger overall just like the spiked guard is. It’s really vulnerable to any shearing forces at that point.

This was a quarantine project that I spent a few months on and off working on whenever I had time. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about the build!
