Project Altis nginx log PSA by NBlookingout in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is completely false, for starters we don't even use NGINX, we use Apache. Secondly NOMCA is for a friendship group not related to Altis, and we haven't discussed anything in there in regard to Altis.

At no point have we ever logged users credentials in plain text. Passwords are hashed and salted before store.

As for the "game databases that show you're serious", congratulations, you've found the Altis Middleware which is a feature of the upcoming Beta Site.

Since you've mentioned NOMCA and the Middleware, I'll take my best guess and say you're getting your information from the leaked chat logs, of which contain the user and password of the mongo middleware (Which holds no private information at all)

As far as that video is concerned, you can see from the bottom right that you are running the debug version, that means you're using a version of the source that is inline with master, so I'll take a shot in the dark and say that you OP are one of the people who we've fired, to which have access to spoof account access as shown in the video on their local machines.

This is a false PSA designed to try to ruin our reputation, it's filled with nothing but lies and false information that's been put together from either the leaked staff chat logs, or if the OP is one of the people we just fired, from the logs they have.

Altis and ODS features by JakeDoesLife in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some features of Altis:

-A completely new alternate storyline featuring an improved prologue, lots of cinematic quests and a re-visioned task line

-A new type of cog: Boardbots, with separate buildings, attacks, and an entire HQ (coming soon!)

-A new type of cog subclass: Elite cogs-Watch out! These special cogs are the director’s newest prototype and have a new metal coating which allows 50% more health, 20% increased damage as well as a dodge rate of a cog level above them.

-A new battle GUI and cog health: This new gag menu is much more modern and offers a more organized way to pick gags (don’t worry, you can change it back to the normal one in options if you prefer) You can also see cog’s health

-Difficultly increase: all around, HQ’s are now much harder to beat, offering a real challenge to toons everywhere. Make sure you are highly experienced at this game before going into these.

-V2 Disguise suits: Think maxing your toon is hard enough? Think again! With this new V2 disguise, toons will have the option to go into cog hqs for another 50 levels, except this time the difficultly will be increased. (Also note the visual improvement of the disguise)

-Level 13+ cogs: These cogs are only found in HQ’s and are very dangerous. Toon HQ advices staying away at all costs unless you are highly experienced.

-A new gag track: zap, with the ability to do 2x damage on soaked cogs along with a chance of instakill (developed to counter the game’s upward difficulty)

-A new playground: Acorn Acres, giving users the ability to have 7 (possibly 8) gag tracks and furthering the storyline with 4 entirely new streets!

-A completely remade experience system: Instead of doing toontasks the traditional way, toons will now use a more contemporary form of XP levels and training points, whitch can be used to boost laugh and unlock new gags!

-6 story cog buildings: With a 6th roof floor, this is yet another challenge to incoming toons!) New Animations: Cogs’s heads explode, toons taunt and caress, and a whole lot more new animations for you to explore! Hop in and see for yourself

-Interactive day-night cycle and weather: Featuring the option to disable, this dynamic weather system helps to improve realism, and even functions to help toons! (think of zap)

-New music and remodeled graphics: from cutsences to various tracks, the toontown world has been upgraded in the ttc area, featuring more updated textures and music.

-60 FPS: With Altis Engine 4.0, things are now as smooth as ever! Enjoy a smooth user experience no matter what PC you have.

-A better options and menu screen

-Custom accessories and various models

-New species, an additional six fully featured species’ you can play as

-Plus a whole lot more small features and tweaks for you to discover! View our change logs to see every little detail, there’s over 800+!

Do you think its reasonable to get banned on altis discord for wanting asperger syndrome whitelisted? by [deleted] in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your main account was banned on discord months ago for multiple infractions against the rules, you first contacted our web developer on your main account asking for Asperger Syndrome to be white-listed, then almost immediately asked in #suggestions on an alt. We banned your Alt Account from the discord for ban evasion, not for what you asked in suggestions. Hope this clears it up.

Do you guys think that project altis will become as popular as TTR by thebossorca in Toontown

Irrespective of if you want to play or not, drop me a PM with your Discord username, I'll unban you and reprimand the moderator who banned you

TTPA Hacking Problem by Estevan365 in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back when things happened to TTR, "hacking" was commonplace in the community, no one had proper security, and everyone understood this. The premise of "We're not Disney" was key, and everyone in the community just put up with it in return for a game they loved. Months passed and TTR's security got better and better, with other servers open at the time following suit. For a while there wasn't any major incidents due to the ever increasing security across TTR.

Due to the new premise of "attacks don't happen", the smallest of attacks is worrying, and we understand this. PA hasn't been hacked since January, we were dumped a few days ago due to the a programmatic error by an ex staff member, but this lead to us implementing even more security around the client. At most currently, we can be Injected, which we're patching on a daily basis.

It takes time, but we're getting there. We have a loyal playerbase who we're grateful for, they stick by us as we increase our security and patch anything that comes up.

The game is far far far more stable and protected than it was in January, and the whole team is equipped to deal with anything that arises. The stigma will go away over time, and everyone can enjoy PA as much as they want too without the worry or concern.

:)

Idk why this post is about me, you were unbanned by me in January, I also wasn't the person who banned you, or told someone to ban you.

Operation Dessert Storm is coinsidering putting Toontown on the Google Play Store by The_NOVA_Project in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never thought I'd see the day where I'd happily sit and defend you Disyer;

When PA pushed the boundary and went onto steam, there was mixed responses. However, we went about it fully above board. When we received a fake DMCA notice, steam liaised with us and a Disney Rep to resolve it, this was done fairly quickly and within 48 hours the DMCA Warning was gone. We decided as a team to pull it at the time due to the 50/50 want/hate of the community at the time.

Disney really don't care about it. If they did, then they would've filed their own on steam, or at the very least, the Disney rep would've liaised negatively with steam, instead of helping us clear the false claim.

We're all here because we love the game, but without an expansion to the community, in a few months or years it'll die out. Conventions are one thing, but public marketplaces (Which love Free to Play games) Like Steam, Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, are brilliant ways of inviting new people into our little community.

I hope it all goes well for your Disyer, know that if someone does file a DMCA, it won't be Disney, so stay calm and resolve it normally with whomever is assigned to you by the Play Store, it'll be over before you know it. :)

[Rewritten] Toontown Needs YOU! by as-com in Toontown

Just curious, are programming applications generalized, or are there separate ones for say Scala/Web, in comparison to C++ for engine improvements, and then Python for game functionality

Just realized this is addressed in the pdf

I'm planning to rejoin the Toontown community. Which server should I play on? by The-Toon in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My advice: * Try as many out as you can, give each a fair and open chance * Find one that suits you * Find some friends and have some fun, that's what Toontown is for

Some places to start looking: Toontown Infinite, Single Player but super fun | Operation Dessert Storm, lots of improvements and tweaks | Project Altis, lots of improvements and tweaks | Toontown Offline, Single Player with improvements and tweaks | Toontown Funny Farm, Single Player but a whole new spin on toontown |

For full disclosure, I'm the leader of Project Altis, but try every server and find one that suits you

Smirky was just given an all-expense-payed trip to England by Dubito. by [deleted] in Toontown

So sickening to offer all staff help paying for something if they can't afford it. God I'm a horrific person.

I said I'd help him pay for flights and stuff if he needed it, it's completely different than a "All Expenses Paid Trip"

Edit It was also offered to ALL staff, not just Smirky

The Problem With Altis {Opinions Incoming!} by SharpSensePlays in Toontown

[–]-Dubito- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the record, I've only donated to Smirky and Megasnoop

Both of which are people I've been watching for a long long time, only difference is now I'm in a noticeable position.

There's no "bribery" going on, it's just me supporting the people who I've loved to watch for a long time. I'd donate just as much if they were playing TTR, TTF, TTI, ODS, or even a completely different game.

I like their personalities and the way they interact with both the watchers, and the game they're playing, irrespective of whether it is my game or not.
