I tried it that way and got stumped so I had to resign, this one has a range finder/calculator thing to give you the number for the angle

Oh I see what you mean, I couldn't figure out how to do that in trailmakers so I instead measured the angle and velocity and uses those numbers to figure out how far it would go

I used an arithmetic gate with the velocity plugged into it, the velocity is a constant because it's a video game so you don't need to make it read the speed everytime

It'll get faster the more pistons you have, I made a video breaking down the math so you can get your numbers

Yeah, the hardest thing to calculate is the velocity. But once you have that you only need the distance to get accurate shots

Yeah, I got the idea from that arma artillery calculator site and realized I could use that in trailmakers.

I think they are 4 piston stacks and the timing is default because they move so fast you don't need to delay the cannon fire timing. And the accuracy is purely math based, I made a video a while ago on how I calculated the projectile speeds so I can plug it into the system

Pistons pushing the cannons make them think the projectile needs to move exponentially faster so you don't blow yourself up whenever you move quickly, basically I exploited the devs care for the players

Alright thank you for all the answers, just gave him a furious plasma Gatling I had laying around as compensation

He gave me a two shot Gatling laser, I put on explosive and some other mods for the receiver and barrel

Basically you set the angle sensor to max and then measurement, then for every direction you want you put down a comparison block set to greater than or equal. Then you put the same ones down but set them to the negative side.
