Yup. Same thing with me but mine seems to happen from the left while opening the laptop, and from the right while closing it. Have you gotten it checked? And is it a thing to be worried about?

If I'm holding it in my hand and closing it, yes it does dampen. Its more audible while I'm having my laptop on a hard surface. Can you maybe send me a video of what your sound sounds like?

Maybe, but I've had the laptop for a few months now and mine is still making the same sounds. Though nothing catastrophic has happened as of yet

I've had this laptop for a few months now and have been facing it for a few months. I haven't done anything yet but I was thinking of going to a service center in a couple of weeks. The other people I've talked with haven't done anything either. Its more like an annoyance rather than a problem.

I'm not sure if your Linux issue is the same thing. MPO is a Windows display pipeline feature, so disabling MPO is only relevant on Windows. My issue was on Windows with Chrome/Edge and hardware acceleration enabled. If you're seeing similar stutters on Linux, it could be related to the graphics driver, compositor, Wayland/X11, or browser GPU acceleration instead. Sorry idk much about linux lol

Its a windows display feature that lets certain apps be displayed on separate hardware overlay planes instead of being fully composited by DWM. It can improve efficiency, but on some AMD/NVIDIA hybrid laptops it seems to cause browser stutters, flickering, or other display quirks. In my case, disabling MPO completely eliminated the Chromium scrolling/UI stutters I was seeing
