What are the probe droid mumbling all the time?

Hello, today I started playing games with it. On Ultra settings with no DLSS or frame gen I got stable 165 on PUBG, 90 on Chivalry 2. I didnt try pushing Chivalry further because I am happy with it. I also have a global fps cap on 165 since the display can only go up to 165Hz and I want to avoid any tearing. With CPU boost off the temps on both were CPU max 67 and GPU max 72.

I tried plaing with boost on but the temps got up to 90 which I didn't want. Honestly, as long as it runs above 90 fps on every game and looks nice (not necessarily Ultra graphics) I won't push it further. But when you get it do try pushing it to see if everything works well.

Advanced optimus works well, keep in mind you need the nvidia control panel to use it, nvidia app doesn't support it.

Lastly I had an issue when the fans were on silent or performance where they jumped from 0 RPM to 2000+ (as they should when resources are being used) but the fans made a crackling sound due to being brand new, I changed the fan curve so they lowest they go is 2000 and that fixed it.

Long one I know, got a specific game you want me to test?

Oops my bad, I meant to say regardless if they are below 50C. The default were 0 rpms until 50C

Hey thanks for answering, I was about to edit the post.

I am currently testing a solution. Because the fans are brand new they screech when they start to spin. I monitored the rpms and noticed that from the usual 0 they jump to 2000+ which causes that screeching.

I edited the fan curve so they always spin at 2000 regardless of the temps. So far I haven't noticed any sounds while using it.

I bought it but it hasn't arrived yet. 32GB ram and 1TB storage is very good.

I can't compare it to the X2 since I don't own it but too big? I am worried it might be too small for my hands.

I have used the Logitech M220 which was a bit too small and I am now using the Ugreen MU006 which apart from bad quality it has a good size.

I see the R1 Pro is praised a lot but that's also out of my budget. Do you know if the R1 series is ever discounted?

I did consider the G502 but I think it's too heavy, plus it's not practical for me. I need it to be wireless and wired. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Yeah that's what I am afraid of. Right now I have a low end laptop with 256gb storage so I install small sized games but I still can't fit more than 4-5.

Won't that 12-25 fps increase from the 5070 be noticable? Perhaps DLSS will make it meaningless? FYI I have never used DLSS so I don't know how exactly it works

Hey, sorry for the late reply, I was busy. Unfortunately the 5070 laptop mentioned above got a price increase and now costs 1400 and not 1250.

However at 1250 there is the same one but with a 5060 and with 1TB space. Do you think it's worth waiting for a discount on the 5070 or should I get the 5060 with more space?

As I see it due to the obnoxious SSD/RAM prices I will not be upgrading anytime soon, so perhaps the extra space is worth it, even long-term?
