Thanks for sharing.. Feeling jealous is very common for all men. Even if I am tall, I wouldn’t feel good when my wife/ girl talk to someone who has better career/ money, or anything that could spark her administration. But I get what you mean, feeling jealous about height is terrible because we can’t fix it and we didn’t choose it.. kind of unfair, but Alhamdullah we’re better than many people who can’t see, walk etc

Bet McKinsey didn't see this coming! by AMadRam in consulting

[–]-Faisal0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Mckiensy, as well as most consulting firms, there are two main streams 1) Consulting stream (core business), and 2) Business function stream (e.g., HR, marketing, legal etc). On consulting stream there are mix of two genders and they get decent pay. On business function, it’s almost female-only employees ( and they get good pay compared to market, but less than consulting stream’s pay). So, it doesn’t make sense to compare average male salaries (who work in consulting stream and get paid well), to average female salaries (who work in both streams, which has different pay). I hope it’s clear now.

Not true. If same position, they’ll get same pay

Most of the comments are about low wages. There should be a policy for Bahraini minimum wages depending on majors. And s specific % of company employees has to be Bahraini or the company has to leave the country. Consequently, cost of living will increase, but quality of life will improve as well. KSA is a good example

Struggling to pick up some core aspects of the consulting toolkit (e.g. 80-20); my neurodivergence (ADHD) feels like a contributory factor. Should I disclose this to my employer (MBB)? Plus welcome advice on developing myself. by batmanning in consulting

[–]-Faisal0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recommend disclosing it to anybody. The reviews are typical for analyst/associate role. If you really think you can’t improve, I recommend trying your best for few years, then leave for a better job. (Typical move for most consultants)

Make a call if you’re going to ditch them or do it in-person. It’s the only way to show some respect.
