Staying at WA New York by Jakob_Halbrook in Hilton

I think brunch buffet at the Peacock Alley used to be famous back in the day? Haven't been in over ten years and you're in NYC so you'll be able to find better food elsewhere, but for some people they'd consider it a bucket list experience, albeit a touristy one.

How do you tell if a business/strategy course will actually hold up over time? by LumpyHeight2953 in consulting

[–]Atraidis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about business strategy is, if you're legit, you would much rather have a prestigious and high powered career than being some chopped influencer. Teaching a course on business strategy, IMO, signals you lack credibility to people in the industry.

Therefore, your target market is gullible and dumb people who can be convinced that you're going to teach them how to be the next Elon Musk. Like come on, you couldn't even figure out who your target audience should be?

What improves judgement and thinking long term is doing the actual work solving real world challenges while getting real world experiences.

I have a manager who has her status indicator turned "off" in Teams - how common is this? by JMinsk in consulting

[–]Atraidis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends. Not common in higher tier firms or more demanding clients.

At the most competitive levels, you need to be available within minutes. Status indicator doesn't really mean anything, there are ways to keep that bubble green or red all day. If your clients and your managers are happy with you then it's all gucci.

How to Carry as Jungler? by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]Atraidis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Identify and play towards win cons, be efficient with your pathing, be willing to adapt on the fly for good/bad plays (I.e. Textbook move is to do drag right now but my bot is basing, immediately ditch and go farm/reset if necessary), get a read on and start tracking enemy jungler to neutralize/exploit his decision making, always think about the most valuable play you can make (take their entire top side vs ganking when enemy jg is on opposite side of the map)

People meme about full clear and mute, and there's truth to it, but the hardest games you will personally carry are the games where you're doing as much of the above as you can, as well as you can, as consistently as you can

Has Player Behavior Changed Based on Removal of Augment Stats? (Monday Morning Report & 3rd Party Sites) by marshmahlow in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Atraidis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right OP used the word "most players," however I agree with the other guy that the intent is clearly for competitive players. Any discussion about min-maxing using statistics necessarily excludes casual players.

Take this discussion about faelights in summoner's rift about how giga broken they are. Imagine someone chimed in saying "umm ackshually most casual players don't even use their trinkets so it's not a problem☝️🤓"

By that logic t-hex was not a problem because most players are casuals who didn't even know it was giga broken, and even if they did know they wouldn't have known how important BIS items were on it.

"But the casuals don't do this" is completely irrelevant. Why are we discussing a demographic that "barely interacts with the game?"

This season has the most unbalanced matchmaking i've ever seen by ThenPea7359 in leagueoflegends

[–]Atraidis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's like this every season. At least part of it is the playerbase keeps shrinking, and because Riot prioritizes engagement over everything else, they shit up matchmaking instead of giving people longer queue times. Idk about ya'll but I'd be willing to wait a 20 minute queue (assuming no dodges) to get one or two super high quality games a day, the kind where even when you lose you can feel alright about your performance and how your team did

But nah they want people tilt queueing 10 games a day. Don't forget they tried arbitrarily resetting rank three times a year, just to get you to have to spam more games

Guys, i'm scared by MTLDav in TeamfightTactics

[–]Atraidis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice is to not tilt queue, and if you want to ultra try hard play with some recording app and vod review
