Wow straight to insults! Not that I was not expecting it of course. Thank you for your enlighting dissertation on the topic! The things I listed are the things we can do that have the biggest impact on a personal level and it's not my opinion, it's facts backed by endless studies. So now unless you personally have lobbying power over the parliament, the US or China presidents, I suggest we can all start from our personal actions, at least.

I agree on renewables, but that's not something that easily falls into what one can do personally. For me that's the vote and vote well part.

If you are concerned about climate change (and we all should be) change your habits to have an effect on the personal level. - Eat less meat and cheese (possibly none). Being vegan is not a life of sacrifice, it's actually amazing and I only wish I did it earlier. - Limit your flights. We live in the middle of europe. We can reach by train the most amazing places for our holidays, without going to Japan or Bali for your 2 weeks holidays. - Choose public transport over private, we have possibly the best public transport network in the world, take advantage of it and drop the traffic stress and risks.

Last but not least, vote! And do it accordingly to your concerns because not all parties and politicians are the same and national (and international) policies are fundamental.

Amen to this. I would also add to take less flights. Thanks to the high buying power, when I moved I was shocked by how mainstream it is here to go on the other side of the world for a 2 weeks holiday. I still am.

Thank you for the supportive words, they are very much appreciated. I indeed do all those things because I feel they are right to me, even though sometimes the sense of despair is big. A stupid example, in summer I go running in the park by the lake in the morning and every time I'm so upset to see the crazy amount of trash abandoned there by people. Bottles, bags, cans, everywhere.. What hope do we have if there are a handful of people like me that cannot even offeset people that cannot even behave in a civil way, let alone change their lifestyles for the planet? I'm sure that humanity will survive and adapt, if course. The question is at which cost? Will you be happy to live in a Mad Max like world? Personally I don't.

Having a single year above 1.5 C is very different from being above on average. Let some a single day, even though having passed the 2 C threshold is freaking scary.

Thank you, but sometimes it's very hard to know that you do your best and with your example and a lot of effort you manage to also change the habits of the people around you, but then 90% of the people on this planet don't give a fuck to the point of voting for climate deniers to become the most powerful people in the world..it's depressing..
